Farewell Goonfeet.
It was a goddamn blast.
Maybe someday we can have a nostalgia event where we come back and terrorize everyone after getting the devs drunk and convince them to re-introduce grenade ganking.

Yup, we're moving the few goons who want to keep playing over to IE to make it easier to find like-minded people. It looks so weird logging on and seeing the corp chat completely empty minus a dozen or so capsuleers :( |

I like to think we have helped many a team to victory through unconventional means, such as introducing the grenade gank to kill AFKers in the MCC, making blueberry pancakes with LAVs, dropping cars on snipers, needle ******* people in faction warfare, and introducing the original awox to planetary conquest (that was us who awoxed Dust University vs some betamax corp like a week after PC came out, not Jenza. We just let yal blame her cause it was funnier. We were alway first though, as Grief University).
Like I was saying, we've helped a lot of you to victory, just sometimes not when you're on our team. |

We woulda hung an enormous billboard saying "Goons did it" flashing with neon light but we thought it would be too obvious.
Turns out even though it had all of the typical goon hallmarks no one made the connection.

Actually I think a lot of that credit should go to Charizard. I had figured out you could gain positive and negative points from a combination of TKing, drop uplinks, and suicides, he had the idea that maybe CCP did a silly thing like giving you an orbital every single time your squad hit 2500 points. From there we put the two together and went nuts.
edit: Since that was literally a week or two before Uprising came out, CCP freaked the **** out and called in people on the weekend to fix it. I guess they didn't want people having unlimited orbitals in PC and FW? |

No they aren't. It took you suggesting I go to PC to forfil my urges to TK after they took blueberry pancakes out that caused us to unleash the awox. Good times. |

God that was fun. I had family members behind me watching while I was rolling over blueberries, laughing uncontrollably yelling "I didn't raise you like this!" between bouts of giggling.
Best part was picking a random nerd from the awoxed corp's roster and telling them he was paying us to extort ISK from them.
Worked like a charm.

The red dots were completely confused. It didn't help that we told the blue dots the red dots had paid us to be there, so the blue dots were sending the red dots really angry eve mails.
I wish we had the numbers from the final fallout of all that. We pretty much eliminated entire corperations when they decided to cut 90% of their members and put them in feeder corps that never lasted. All that to keep little ol me out of their roster. |

Those were the best times, I remember when we did that, we weren't even sure it would work out right, and when it succeeded beyond our wildest dreams, that was definitely my best experience in DUST.

Now I am tempted to enter haha but I still do not see the point of selling tickets when you dont need or want the ISK. The point of lotteries are to raise money which you obviously dont need. I guess its just gambling for the kicks, owning the pot must give more of a high than buying tickets

Considering that I only have 5million ISK and you can buy up to 20 tickets. This is certainly high stakes. I guess the wealthy flush their toilet with diamonds haha

Sad to see Goonfeet coming to an end, but having Dust go on this long and still no true Eve link it should be no surprise. We still end up with the same Eve resource carrot on a sick when I think what we really needed was true game play interaction.

GoonFLEET is in EVE, flying spaceships shooting spacemans.
GoonFEET is the infantry and Voice of the poor opressed people of new eden, here to free them from the tyranny of their other masters.
Unfortunately the time for the message of salvation has passed. The worlds of new Eden shall purge themselves in fire and tears.
I will be here to strike the match.
