It's annoying. Many have posted about it but I want to know if it can be tweaked.
Can the delay be redused a bit?
Set it back to 0?
Something. Please

This.
The OP lacks context.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

You mean the declaok delay when switching back to a weapon that currently effects ALL equipment? |

Do I keep repping my squadmate to the last second in the hope they will get the kill? Or do I drop rep a full 5 seconds before their armor goes down, KNOWING they will die as a result, just to give myself enough time to switch to a weapon before being slaughtered? It is a tough call for any Logi. There is no perfect answer. The math would be easier without the delay.
Logi's are used to such difficult choices, but it is the lack of awareness, by some, that it takes time to switch that is most frustrating. If you drop rep and let them die, you have "failed" them and "stolen" the kill. If you don't drop rep, you're an incompetent shooter for not being able to finish them off when your squadmate got them down to only a sliver of health.
My Corpies understand this, but many others do not.
FPS = First Person Support. Kills win battles but it's kinda hard to kill if you're dead and out of ammo.

This is exactly what its like. I made a thread a while back about it and apparently this prob has been around a while.
Hopefully if we keep complaining they'll look into it.
It really makes me not want to waste my best logi setup, because that delay really does cost you a lot of gunfights and isk. |
