I don't know about you, but I'm fed up with tanks targeting defenseless supply depots for cheap WPs.
I would like to see the turret installations respond to these attacks in the same way that they respond when they are themselves attacked.
Relative placement of these installations plays a large role in how effective something like this would be, but I would still like to see the turret AI changed to accommodate this feature.

Strange its still don't work that way, turrets should defend any structure in its """lock""" range, Missiles Turrets actually can be useful, they r mostly placed on bases behind redline and just do nothing..

if supply depots are ''defencless'' its because lets see.....infantry can swap between roles on the go and bring out/camp the supply deopot for ammo while attacking vehicles/infantry......if my team cant have the supply depot......why should yours?. if my team cant swap roles on the go.......then you cant either.
sure their only a ''cheap'' 50wp......but the whole fact YOU HAVE BEEN DENEID the abititly to instantly switch roles is rewarding enough. if the blues are looking of incapable of takeing or take too long to capture the depot. it gets destroyed as its not an asset to us.
IF however the blues mange to take the depot, then I can resupply vehicle ammo and if I choose so actively defend it.
70% of the time depots are red and too big of a threat to ignore. so they get popped. and it takes time to get through 3k shield and 15k armour...surely your team can bring down an attacking vehicle in that time right?

I'm all on board with this.
I'll go a step further and say I think the aggressiveness on AI turrets needs to be increased period.

+1
The turrets don't shoot at enemies usually unless they attack them.
They might as well stay unhackable/neutral. Then it would make sense.

Make it so that when a Rail Installation is attacked, it shoots at its attacker. It's pretty sad how I just shoot the poor thing with my tank right infront of it and all it can do is stare at me until it dies.
Blasters and Missiles are more threatful.
Also add one or 2 missile turret inside the battlefield rather than having them sit in the redline.

Before i go off on a tangent, Blaster installations will attack any vehicle in range. Put a blaster near any supply depopt the blaster will attack any vehicle near the supply.
Killing a supply depot nets a whopping 50 WP. You can get more WP landing one AV hit on a tank, using and ADV needle once. hardly farming
Supply depots are more dangerous than any turret, that is where AV generally congregates. Kill the depot, and you choke off the AV.
If you haapen to be either too lazy or have to little of a concept of strategy to defend something that gives you cover and unlimited ammo, sad day for you.

What say you?
1. No
2. Maybe for FW/PC matches since the installations should have been bought by the Militias/Corps so they should be better than standard pub installations
3. Infantry dont use installations as they are so the HP should be knocked down to pre buff levels, 5k max HP
4. Active AI installations means vehicles will have to kill them instantly, DS will most likely be auto targeted and shot down instantly if you have 3 rails looking at you from the redline
5. I cant believe you got voted in, i feel a plant pot would be better |

We destroy them when they become a problem, ie. 5 infantry switching to AV because I want to take out a turret. No vehicles allowed, said the infantryman, so an entire squad changes even though I'm not using a turret that's good against infantry. They act as if I'm melting infantry 200m away.
I would like to see the turret installations respond to these attacks in the same way that they respond when they are themselves attacked.
They already do. A blaster installation beats 2 reppers. What more do you want? The damage of an old compressed PRO blaster with 2 of today's damage mods?
Relative placement of these installations plays a large role in how effective something like this would be, but I would still like to see the turret AI changed to accommodate this feature.
They're in the same places all the time, and we're not able to call any in for ourselves. Moot point
What say you? What say I? Stupid ideas
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

Oh shut the crap up. Tanks already suck enough with the fact that turrets are almost invincible, now with this bull crap. Seriously bro.
I'm fed up with infantry constantly trying to nerf tanks to sh*t. Infantry already nerfed them into the ground even underground, now ya'll thinking about taking them to hell.

Installations in general need to be remade. I feel that we should have different "versions" if you will. Let me explain.
Pubs- Pre-set installations located around objectives, outposts and mostly the border of the redline. These turrets are set in a "defensive" AI. They only fire when attacked or if enemies in its "lock" range hack or attack players or installations. Pub Installations Turrets would be limited in number(Harvest map has way too many),have poor aim(none of those super aim railguns) and maybe 15% health as they do now.
FW- Installation turrets are limited located mainly in the redline and some outposts. The are equal to the pubs AI but variant can be deployed by squad leaders that are vastly superior.
PC- No pre-set installations, not even in the redline. Can only be bought and AI is set to aggressive. Think of balloon tower defense.

No, the whole point of buffing installations and making them useful is so that they will be used, not so that they are just as effective when unmanned and unprotected. If you don't want tanks killing your stuff, use it and kill them.
Because, that's why.

Yeah, because manning installations on massive maps is easy to do when you only have 16 players to a side. Tanks are capitalizing on that and you know it. |
