I would prefer the WiiU actually. Not kidding.
It would be great to see the overhead map, and change/modify fittings on the screen pad.
The game would undoubtedly look better too.
Off-Map Support, OBs, and vehicle summoning all could be handled through the touchscreen.
Even squad orders. Hit the touchscreen, to set rally points, attack and defend orders, capture orders.
Even adding new features like drawing routes of approach and retreat.
Set your goals high, and shoot for the moon; even if you miss you'll land amongst the stars.

Its a shame, I only play Mario Kart on my Wii U and gave my Wii to my mother so she can play Zumba on it. 
Would be cool on the Wii U touchpad though, like the scrapped PSVita second screen.

Shlt I'd do the same. Nintendo has never done me anything wrong. They pretty much lost on the marketing front, but they've never failed to innovate (from old school peripherals to the entire Game Boy family).
Probably the only console maker that has games that I get excited about (Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros), that I don't have ANY gripes with.
They have seriously powerful hardware, and I am disappointed many developers have failed to jump on-board with them.
I would have no problem seeing Dust spend its days on Wii U.
I would imagine it's far too late to ever see such a thing.

I have a Wii gaining dust and I would love to dust it off to play Dust just to swing my hands around with Ishukone Nova Knives.
