I just put down my controller and surrender but I used the Rail Rifle today which I totally suck at and I killed an advanced Minja, but to be honest he was trying to get too close before shotgunning me.

What suit was he using? Because if he was not using a MinScout with Knives then he is not a Minja

Typically, ARs and BrScPs end minja's lives rather well. I know you had some success today, but you might want to try another weapon -- the chargeup of the RR puts it a severe disadvantage in CQC against a tough-to-scan scout. |

I have gotten my best kills against scouts with a breach scrambler pistol but its become easy mode so I am trying other alternatives also with lag its pretty annoying. I will be getting a caldari scout so I was practising with the rail rifle, I expected to die, I spotted the cloaked scout and so was not surprised

You could use a side arm and not have to worry about the charge up time on the RR.
Its not like he probably had a lot of HP.

Ya I understand I was running my cal assault and nearly lost to one with a smg. I had a bolt pistol and I suck with it. I only used it to put down heavies. Straffing and hip firing with a RR in CQC is near impossible.
Can the other voices in other peoples minds hear my voices in my head????

I think that makes the RR realistic haha but I never use it but I am in for some reckoning as I have decided to get the Caldari Hawk Scout so I am going to have to get used to it. I also suck with the bolt but its mainly because of hit detection and lag issues.

If you are limited to one weapon, why not pick something a bit more versatile and use an AR, or even a CR?
In fact, I am pretty sure RR is almost the least versatile at this point, next to a sniper rifle.

First of all, minja and SG can't be used in one sentece. Minja = minmatar scout with knives :].
About killing them. Minjas [not SG] below proto amre lacking either in speed or dampening.
And the fastest way to kill any scout is to use ScR/MD.
Ps. To guy who said that minjas are the easiest to kill. They are the most dangerous. SG won't OHK. Minja will.

If you're in a town, then NK+SG can be good.
If someone will evade [due to lags,scans etc.] NK slash, then simply pull out SG and finish him.
