I posted this before, but in General Discussion
6v6 One life only.
This game type would pit squads of 6 against each other. Small maps, no vehicles, one life rounds. Best of 7 rounds to win the match.
I propose a public version, and a Tournament version.
PUBLIC
Available in Public Contracts
- Full Squad Required
- As described above, with nominal ISK payouts and high salvage rate.
TOURNAMENT
Available under "Other Contracts"
- Both Daily and Weekly tournaments would be available.
-During Peak times, there would be a 15 minute sign-up window to register your squad. Each squad would have to pay a registration fee (Eg. 1 million ISK).
-Once the tournament begins, squads are matched up randomly, in an elimination tree.
-Eliminated teams get high salvage, but no ISK. Winning teams get both salvage and ISK.
-The winning team of the tournament gets showered with prizes and ISK.
-I would also propose a new stat - Tournament Wins/Win Percentage.
My goal is to create a new competitive game type, where players can squad up and not worry about imbalanced matches. As a bonus, I also think this gametype would draw some of the proto stomp squads out of ambush during peak times. Making the game more fun for everyone.
In the future, when strongboxes are more rare, I think this would be a good place to reward people with them, along with officer weapons.

I like the idea.
The only changes I would suggest is the addition of a Private option and make the salvage 100% of what the enemy drops.

I'm not against it....just small player size game modes aren't for me.
Maybe a mode where each squad is for themselves. So, there would be 8 squads of 4 in a deathmatch?
Shield tanking is hard mode /period.
