it automatically locks onto people without holding R1 too! even if you lose the lock it locks back on when you're pointing at them in range without pressing R1!

I have seen people do this in ambush and somehow get lucky and go 0/0 with like 14-1500 WP and end up in first place. |

to be honest i'd love it if we could 'lock' the repper to an on position and just tap left/right on the d-pad to select the target we want it to just rep whenever they're in range and ignore anyone else.
cant count the amount of times a squadmate has died because my repper will jump to anyone but them in a huge clusterf**k of blue/greens in a building

Yes, yes, downvote me to oblivion if you wish, but I found it rather annoying when my rep tool locked onto someone I didn't want to rep. Meanwhile the person I want to rep isn't locking on because my beams are currently repairing people that are already full.
Real rep logis use R1. Represent.

You can do that while hacking too:
STEP 1) Hold circle
STEP 2) Press select
STEP 3) Release circle
STEP 4) Press select
STEP 5) ENJOY

Yeah, it can be a pain at times, but there are simple workarounds.
