I guess assault considering your name?
You need to answer yourself one simple question: do I want to spend the vast majority of my time shooting people, or doing other stuff?
Other stuff does not have to mean leashing a sentinel your whole life, contrary to popular belief, but only skill into the Logi suits if you actually want to play support roles, whichever that may be. Otherwise stick with assaults, logi suits aren't that good at killing.
As to which suit is the best, that's a tougher question but to an extent the current meta seems to favor minmatar suits.

If you want high costs with low survival : logistics
If you want high survival with low(er) costs : assault
Imho,Dust has a built in hard mode and that mode is logistics.
You have to ask "do i want to do more in Dust than just shoot stuff?"
Anyone can shoot stuff,it however takes a true logipro to keep their allies alive through all that shooting.
Then you'll have to deal with all the role drama.
Complain you can't survive as a logistics you'll get "stfu slayer logi".
Suggest any buffs even if they are tiny you'll get "stfu slayer logi".
But as an assault you'll always get sympathy.
Assault:"I can't out eWAR a scout"
CCP *buffs assault eWAR*
Assault: "I can't out tank a heavy"
CCP *buffs assault eHP and slots*
And soon...
Assault:"I can't out logi a logi"
CCP *buffs assault equipment slots*
But you wanna know a secret?
If assaults vanished from the game the game would still function,just look at the slayer logi era.
However if logistics vanished it would be very crippling.(no reps or refills)
Why do i say this?
Literally every suit in the game but logistics specializes in weaponry.
Logistics is the one and only equipment specialist.
So removing one of many isn't bad.
But removing the only one is devastating.
So,at least to yourself,you'll know you're playing the most important role in the game.
But hey,not everyone likes hard mode.

If you're actually doing Logistics (healing, using links, etc) it can be very rewarding. Even using my STD fit (costs about 20k) I easily get to the top of leader boards and make +250k a game.
I will say though, Logis work best in a squad. If you don't plan on squaring up or joining a corp (or just doing solo stuff) assault will be much better. Not that you can't do Logi solo or assault in a group.

It really depends.
Do you run solo or in a squad?
Are you set on a specific faction?
Gallente Logi is **** for solo players, for example, (Scanning is very dull and scanning without a squad is soul-crushingly stupid) while Minmatar Logi is huge fun even solo. The agility, combined with the combat rifle, really helps and you always feel helpful with the possibility of healing and resupplying everyone.
Meanwhile, Amarr Logi has a sidearm. Don't underestimate that.
Also, a Logi will earn more WP than an Assault, meaning that you can potentially skill into Assault later on. |

I have skilled into a pro logistics. (Minmatar of course). I had 9 million sp and i spent it all. Anyways, thanks guyz. |
