Well, had to do it at some point, and no it wasn't worth it at all. The faction packs for $5 give you thousands of proto and advanced items while 10 boxes can be opened for $3 and you might not even get 100 items total.
But I guess it is the only way to buy officer gear, or more like the chance to get officer gear, so there's that.

Best thing's I got out of strong box's were officer weapons.
Best thing I got for Christmas were Zombie socks from my 4 year old son.

Best thing I got out of a box? 5x Beacon ELI-5 Swarm Launcher.
Worst was yesterday, worked my ass off for 2 keys in a daily mission, and I got 10x Frontline Special Issue C-1, and the second box? 10x Frontline Special Issue A-1 -_- hahaha!
All I got this Christmas was a 500GB HDD. But totally worth it!

Opened 30 boxes.
Things I Have gotten of note:
1 x New Officer Mass driver.
3x Viktor's Officer Laser rifle.
1x Luiz Officer Combat Rifle.
The rest is low level crap or ****** frontline suits.
Will never buy another key again... Will never recommend anyone buy a key ever... IF someone asks me about them? It will be a long line of profanity followed by Fracking CCP Shanghai.
Keys should of been 100 Aurum. With 50 Aurum sales. It should of been a cheap item that everyone doesn't mind plugging in a couple bucks to try their luck.
Instead CCP Tried to take advantage of it's customers by offering a new Item with fancy words around it and then jacking up the price to crazy amounts that wouldn't make any sense in any Spreadsheet and data simulations.
I Have the expendable income that i don't mind spending on my recreations... But the cost and value of what you get? To the way the entire mechanic just seems half fast and thrown together at the last minute? Putts me off from ever throwing another cent at this project.
People have 300-400 boxes sitting around... What was CCP's financial department thinking with these numbers. |

I would say that if ccp doesn't want to increase the amount of keys we can get in daylis or salvage. Increase the rare items in those boxes like 1:2 because I'm sure that ppl will just value officer stuff, even if they can't use it. At least they can get good stuff and later use them.
To not give just officer stuff maybe from proto to officer, no less, and maybe with that mechanic they will have to change that u can buy those keys, now u can only salvage if every 2 boxes u can get officer stuff... I don't mind if ppl can use officer long time, to me is great hunting down those that use officer... :)

Just buy the aurum items you want or buy a faction pack instead of buying randomness that will most likely be completely sh*t.

Best Xmas gift: Friends and family asked what wanted for Xmas. I jokingly replied with "Brownie mix."
I now have 15 boxes of assorted brownies mixtures ranging from brands like Ghirardelli to Betty Crocker... Some bonus items include bags of walnuts and baking chocolate. |

Brownie mix is good by itself, just add milk :P
Reminds me of the time I asked my favimly for dark chocolate and got everything from chili pepper to 90% to intense pear dark chocolate.
