Have a nice chunk saved up to invest in a logi, Amarr will leave me a little extra SP to throw into PlC Optimization or something, as I already have Amarr Assault and won't have to throw away a couple hundred grand on pointless frames. Given the paucity of links in many matches now, it seems like it might be a solid investment. Repping with a non-Min logi is terribly laborious, though, so I'm a bit torn.

Since the release of bandwidth uplinks definitely yield great warpoints due to less spam.
I would recommend only going level 3 and see how you feel fighting in the suit since for the most benefit you will need to wear it more often than other suits. Personally I feel like level 5 in it is unnecessary unless you feel like trying to run multiple logi roles and / or fight alot with it.

I'm at lvl 4 on my way to 5 and I enjoy it immensely. Also logi with a sidearm is sublime especially since I typically use racially pure builds.

Solo scout here.
I put SP into uplinks back around 1.8 so I could get uplinks down if my team needed them. Then realised I could do better with an Amarr logi. So my Amarr racial logi choice is specifically for the best uplinks.
Since then I've gone "full" logi, got L5 skill, and now run around the field with PRO links, PRO hives, and an ADV repper. Can't fit much more. You have to choose between your third piece of equipment, and there are more logis with reppers running around than there are needles, so that's what I went for. Plus solo makes needles make more sense.
Not using a repper also frees me to fight too instead of having to train a tool on a fattie. I use the plasma cannon and Ion Pistol as weapons. My style is to suppress / push with blues. Oh core nades help too. The PLC is awesome if you manage to land your hits, the Ion Pistol I use from my scout days - a charged shot will wreck a lot of suits.
If you like earning WP too (who doesn't) then I've noticed a huge increase from the team spawns since bandwidth. Makes sense - working as intended. I'm currently playing around with the uplink placement now they have tiered scan profiles to see if it's possible to hide the links so they don't (all) get cleared out. I've been surprised to see one remaining before when others have been cleared ...makes me think mercs might need to hunt for them if they're somewhat hidden.
Whilst a good team will usually beat a bad team, you can heavily influence the battle with the uplinks when nobody else is using them and give your guys a fighting chance they otherwise wouldn't have had. I find it really fun to run in this suit.

great suit and adapts well with the sidearm slot
great for A/V given A/V nades, swarms, 2 sets of proxys, and nanos
great for homepoint given creo flux scanner, remote explosives, links
great for direct support given needle, rep tool, links
the suit is very effective with precision mods in all the highs or damage mods
play smarter not harder

Bonus over your uplinks will last until you die, if you respawn in the same suit, you'll still lose it. So if your aim is to plant uplinks and then rep your team I strongly recommend you to go minLogi. Rare are the battles where you can live long enough to make use of your bonus with Amarr logi.
And minLogi has more slots, so more uplinks to plant. |

As someone who has picked up all of the Logistics suits, Gallente and Amarr tie for second place depending on the needs of the team as well as the map and gamemode.
Just recently, on Boulder Rim (the new map with Objective A being inside a garage/hanger), I am now using an Amarr Logistics 5 with Prototype Uplinks to give my team support. Because of this, last night I had a match where we pulled a clutch victory from enemy hands, being down on clones most of the match and winning 3 clones left to 0 with 2 ticks left on both MCC armor. I went 0/0, 2595 WP (highest WP player of all 32 players), and earned 451K ISK.
Another note, I was also using Prototype Uplinks, meaning they were hidden from Tacnet view unless you had Prototype scanners which the enemy seemed to have a lack of, which helps a ton since vehicles used to easily blow up my uplinks; now they have to work for it by fitting at least Proto Scans.
Definitely worth it. I'd say go for it.

It's crap get something else. No one really likes to spawn on your uplinks because they give you points and they wanna race to finish top of the leaderboard. Especially in skirmish.
Jk
It is very mediocre, I respecced out of it . Get Min Logi if you want reps. If not , keep the Amarr Logi and be uplink Jesus !

Amarr Logi, <3.
Only specific suit which I have on several characters protoed.
Dat sidearm... Sweet. After setting up the field (bandwidth'd equipments) you can swap to slightly more combatitive, or rather with seld defense capable) suit.
Also, the only logi suit that "can" fit swarms/lasers/plasma cannons.

there is no point
min logi>all
went back to my logi account yesterday and had about 3.3-3.5m SP unallocated,
got min logi level 5, i'm using basic min logi, best game was 4886wp, worst 3800wp, best game was 520K ISK.
50% repair tool range bonus + 25% rep bonus? no point using any other logi really.

I will use this thread to say that if an amarr logi dies ad the uplink is still active, the spawn modifier should only be removed if they switch to a suit without the spawn modifer bonus.

Yeah I thought I've been noticing something up with the spawn times when I've died and got uplinks out there. It really should stay at the time including the modified bonus.

Have mine maxed and it's a good suit .
I only use my heavy when were getting stomped .
I wear my AL all the time .
It's a good suit and use a six kin or core to rep , it's not that bad but nothing like a Min .
I think it's a good suit , my fav is the Cal logi though but I went with Amarr .
All my EQ is maxed besides scanners and cloak and you won't go wrong unless you like to play another role because you can't switch suits anymore and still have your equipment in play so if you like other roles I would do what someone else said and just take it to level three .
If you like to logi then max it out .
All logi suits are great IMO and a little underestimated as far as their worth on the battlefield .
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .

I AV a lot .
I don't like to talk about slaying because it's not like players make it out to be , you can't slay in a logi suit like before .
Most of the time I can tell who's in a squad by how they talk because your not soloing and slaying in a logi suit .
I solo so I help more then anything , at least I try to .

the suit is very effective with precision mods in all the highs or damage mods True , I use precision and I get scouts sneaking up on my right when there about to NK me or de-cloak to SG me and it is a difference .
All complex precision does help .

Thanks for all the replies. I switch roles a lot depending on what's happening, so if I'm essentially tied to the suit (and to not dying, which should be changed, imo) for the entirety of a match to make use of its bonus, Amarr Logi might not be the right choice. It wouldn't be a problem if I could swap between link and active support suits as needed, but being unable to mix things up is an issue for me, especially since I almost never run proto in pubs, meaning I'd only have two equipment most of the time.

That's why I said what I did , if you switch suits a lot ... like I use to before bandwidth , then it might not be wise ... unless you have SP's to waste .
Your pretty much tied to one suit while playing logi now .

in dom and skirm amarr logi is freakin awesome. when you get it to 5 and use proto uplinks the ability to get 30+ ppl through insta uplinks is freakin awesome. the ability to use a high alpha damage wep like a plasma cannon and a sidearm, or crowd control with a MD and a sidearm, freakin awesome. amarr also has a very healthy stamina pool. i'm proto in all 4 logis and outside ambush i use my amarr the most. |

Amarr Logi to Roof Camp (I use it with a RR, Camp, drop uplinks and protect the links). You get massive SP with a good 'nest' GalLogi is the Closest to a Slayer Logi ATM. Nothing hides from a GalLogi With Proto Focused and Quantum.

I have proto Gal + scans on my Gal alt. I like how obnoxious the all-scanner suit is, but most of my friends haven't returned to Dust and I wind up running a two man squad these days, making it somewhat less useful.
Went Minmatar. I like repping and having the extra equipment at standard, as well as the freedom to change suits situationally. Also, I already had suits for the other three races, now I have one of each! Woo!

Also, I already had suits for the other three races, now I have one of each! Woo! Great choice. My post to you listed the positives and the benefits of having the Amarr Logistics since the community would gladly point out all the flaws in it for me (which they did splendidly).
However, if I was to recommend the "best" logistics, it would be the Minmatar Logi. Best speed. Best stamina recharge. Balanced layout to have options to shield tank, armor tank, or dual tank. 4 equipment slots at prototype level make for a great variety of equipment to bring to the battlefield. Repair and range bonus is quite arguably one of the best bonuses since most everyone needs repairs at some point on the battlefield. Overall, this is the suit I recommend to anyone starting off logistics.
Great choice and hope to see you on the battlefield. o7

yeah that's the problem with amarr and cal logis; if you plan to be a dedicated logi they are next to useless outside of proto |
