I hope your not all just fotm scouts looking for reparations. I wasn't hearing about this a few months ago, and nothings changed since besides an hmg heat-buildup Nerf. Hear this Rattati, you give them an inch they'll take the mile. |

Nothing is wrong with the heavy suit.
The HMG doesn't need Aim assist though.
Same as the shotgun.
You got a giant Generalized Circle to aim with. Use that... Not a pinpoint aim system that helps you land bullets on target. That is the last thing the HMG or shotgun needs.
Heavies NEED the health pools they have... they NEED the resistances they have... the HMG doesn't NEED Aim assist. |

The sentinel community has learned from the mistakes of the ADS community and are currently brainstorming options that will result in reasonable changes rather than OMGLOLWTFHITMENERFHAMMER!!!
We figure if we hash out reasonable changes to counteract the fatspam and overperformance of the HMG then we don't have to suffer as dropships have suffered.
Notice that MOST of the civil HMG "Nerf threads" have been started by shameless career HMG Sentinels?
Food for thought.

People have been complaining about heavy spam and the HMG for ages. Where have you been?
I don't see it, though I usually have a bit of heavy stuff prepared for whenever the fatties get out of hand. Other than that, I'm under the impression that things are fine in general with most of the suits and weapons (Cloak delay needs fixin' though) but otherwise, everything seems good... even if a few weapons have had the fun sucked out of them.
I want to punch.

I want to say that the problem lies with the hmg, but then again, I don't want to be seeing heavies with rail rifles all over the place again.

HMG needs tweeks w/o doubt.
Firstly Aim Assistance - HMG shouldn't be supported by AA. Then strafing could be a thing vs HMG. Secondly DPS/Range - HMG efficiency [max DPS] should fall after closer range than it's now.

HMG's have ALWAYS had AA.

There you go a detail explanation of HOW aim assist works in DUST. He even uses a HMG at the start to show you.
People keep saying CCP never put Aim assist on the HMG..... But there has never been a post saying that... Or has anyone brought a quote saying otherwise.
Know this for fact. HMG has AIm assist. Shotgun has Aim assist.
Both of these weapons DO NOT NEED IT.

Let's just have one suit and gun for everyone , get rid of that skill tree too. Hvy don't need uber hmg , slow movement speed , weak to range weapons. Min scouts don't need freaky fast neck cutters , w/ weak hp. Rail rifles don't need all that range w/ charge up delay.......and on ...and on. There are strengths and weaknesses. Like in other games based on elements. Learn your elemental tables and respond accordingly.

I think you have had too much eggnog today. I was a heavy and I took on 2 whole squads of proto without a problem. I was using STD suit + ADV HMG.
Scouts were top, people complained, they get nerf and now 1k+ HP monsters that have instakill weapon rule.

What's the point I've cleared whole rooms filled 8+ with res. Heavies **** in cqc like they're supposed, get some range and heavies dead or get him with a scout. Now if its a heavy/logi combo now I see your problem. |
