No reason we shouldn't have them. Sure they are pointless and gimmicky, but they tickle the reward center of the brain. Making people who play happier, and possibly playing more.
I'm not proposing game changing rewards, just Medal notifications and possibly WP.
Take a page from other popular shooter titles and reward things like
Double Kills
Kill streaks
Vehicle destructions
Various medical rewards.
etc.
At the end each match, all medals could be compared in the end of game screen. And all-time medals could be looked on at the leaderboards.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

they already have them... over in CoD. here at the grown up table we just call it a Warbarge strike

I once thought Dust was sitting on a different table than CoD but most things we were promised when I started the beta is not here and it is sometimes hard to defend dust these days.

maybe not kill streaks but ribbons and medals would be nice. You know something to show.

No! Just No. quit making ideas for scrub stompping corps. Most players dont even have that kind of luck. All you would see is a sniperfest.
Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)
