I started doing it as a way to kill squads of pub stompers who terrorized the new players in ambush, but im sure some people aren't too happy with their 150k suit getting OHK'd by a 2k suit. |

No problem. Props to them if they're doing well.
I only have a problem with snipers if they're abusing the redline or something similar.
Sometimes, one just has an overwhelming urge to throw a potato at someone.

I went in with a Starter Sniper recently and got 5 kills with it. 3 deaths 
I don't really care what or which suit I see people using. Chances are, no one is really playing ambush to win. |

The starter is great as long as you're a good shot and aim for the brains. People are under the impression that they need the toughest sniper with triple dmg mods but it's really just a waste of isk and will only let you OHK new players and it's not like they are hard to kill anyway. I don't even use the thales anymore, those things just put you on a man hunt |

Last time I used a sniper in ambush I was in a calmando with a tac sr and rr, got 27 kills to no deaths. Quite simply they are annoying and frustrating because of the amount of effort involved in killing them, you often have to make a 400 m journey to go there and come back, and the match can be over by then.

Ambush snipers are probably about the only respectable snipers (They can't hide in their red line.) The other respectable snipers would be the ones that actually leave their red line. |
