LAV's
Really how logical was i to design such an exposed vehicle. A humvee or even jeep offers a gunner more protection than what we have. The Logi LAV could keep the current model to really take emphasis off of the attack rule. But really the lack of gunner protection is kind of bullshit, even driver (only just a little). Probably just an ill design all together solely on that point.
The vehicle does not have high enough clearance and the wheels have no suspension. Off-roading capabilities are severely limited by this. Driving my Methana on potholes is like driving a plank with plastic wheels. However I feel like the acceleration of the Saga really boosts its offroading.
Null Cannons
As they are, they offer terrible protection and poor access at the same time. Why does the back side of the null cannon have a gaping slit that perfectly exposes the hacker? Of course there should be some exposure, but three angles plus all the others if you have a mass driver.
Not trying to ***** hard at all on Null Cannons though they're not too bad.

What if shields actted as an actual 'shield' that would protect the driver/passenger/gunner until it was depleted?

Jokes aside, it would be awesome if Gallente LAVs had armor repairers for passengers, while Caldari LAVs would recharge passenger shields, which would be similar to having the shield apply to all passengers. If we had Amarr and Minmatar, Amarr would get completely armored passenger seats, while Minmatar would be completely exposed.
This would be a mechanical distinction that even newbies could appreciate. And it would give LAVs more of a role. However, there would be a strong requirement of exit/enter timers on the vehicle, as well as a delay before the regeneration effect applies. Otherwise we'd have the nastiest Sentinels on the planet. |
