...has made me fully realize how tryhard this community is.
I'm running around in a speed fit suit with a weapon that literally cannot kill anything.
I'm actually just using a suit built to abuse strafing and bad hit detection for as long as possible before I inevitably die to shoot as many snowballs as I can, and I've had groups of 5 people chase me down hungry for the easy kill. It's almost sad.
Its to the point that they obviously know I'm using a Snowball Launcher. They take no evasive action and just run directly at me.
I'm almost ashamed and disgusted with myself for being apart of this community after today. I though there would be some people that just want to have some fun and break the endless boring monotony that this game can become, but not a single person in the dozen or so games I've played has even paused for a second before attempting to kill me.
Come on guys. These are public matches in a F2P game! Why are you all so serious?
Hell, I'd be happy if some people would play along at just try to melee me to death...
Someone's gotta tell the stupids that their ideas are bad, and I guess it's my job...

Yeah, the average FPS player is a joyless sack of K/D whoring nothingness who could not experience the emotion of fun if it were wired up to their heads through electrodes. I wouldn't expect much.

I got the BPO Launcher. It was definitely worth the $2.90, even if nobody wants to play with me.
Combine that with my Quafe Min Assault and some Militia Modules, and my fit doesn't run me an ISK over 4,000. My Basic Nanohive is the most expensive thing I'm losing when I die.
I could die 50 times in a battle and still make money shooting snowballs at you.
Someone's gotta tell the stupids that their ideas are bad, and I guess it's my job...

because CCP thought it would be a GREAT IDEA TO INTRODUCE TEAM SCANNING AGAIN,
so when you're playing solo and the only one pushing the point, you're then only one on SIX people's radars
and they will hunt you down.
I don't think it's the community, I think it's the fact that CCP think everybody on the team needs to be able to see where you are.

Experiencing much the same. Im running mine on a full BPO Dragonfly fit, and found it hilarious that a 3 Proto Amarr Assaults chased me across the entire Gal Research Facility to kill me.
In a suit that cant kill them.

Shame that nearly everyone in the game hates Christmas cheer though. Perhaps you should get a friend with a forge gun on overwatch to ensure those who don't enjoy the spreading of joy don't continue to exist~?

I bought the snow ball mass driver to and with my minmatar quafy = omg.
Yesterday I was in a Dom match and both teams we were launching the mass driver that the map turned into madness of how much snow there was lol.
I love how scouts bunny hop and Im like xD lololol
We need squads in where we just spam the Snow Ball Mass Driver.
Many players care about there kd crap but in reality its a game. A game in where everyone needs to have fun and not take it to a whole new level.
We need to squad up some day :D

This was and is the general sentiment on the EVE forums too. This kind of crap was what put EVE players off the second it was announced DUST would go to console. I believe some variation of the words "Fast twitch morons" was used more than once.
And people wonder why the rest of us can't take this game that seriously.

Indeed, the hunger for power and success is an issue.
If I know both me and my opponent are holding Nova Knives, a duel is nigh. Even if I can spray them down with my ACR any moment, nothing is more fun than a knife duel. Unfortunately, I haven't done this in quite a long time. People would rather feed their pride with easy kills than have fun.

id kill you if you were there, because you might have a bolt pitol as your sidarm, but i wouldnt chase after you. then again, im a logi, so lone wolfing it to chase a kill is stupid... although i will chase you if your a scout, then brutally murder you, and then bleed out your body so you cant be revived...
