Don't you find't it unfair when you bring an enemy down to a sliver of there life then to have a blueberry just shoot the guy once and get the full credit for the kill?
Why not have it so you get awarded for the percent of damage you do to the player instead of a flat 25 points like in battlefield
example
deal 90% damage, be rewarded 45 points
to 10% damage, be rewarded 5 points

I like the idea.
When I run solo, I more often than not find myself followed by a pack of blueberries who let me do the killing, then pop in just at the last moment with a BrAR or RR or ScR to steal the kill away.
"Minja" and "Masochist" are synonyms.

If that bothers you that bad..... That's pretty sad.
That discourages team work. People ***** and complain when they have no back up and then turn around and complain that people "take" their kills. Just be happy your TEAM killed a red berry is my thought on the "issue"

+1 Draxus, it's a good proposal.
Normally I don't worry about it too much because it all averages out in the end: as often as a merc 'steals' my kill i steal somebody else's. I know i have terribad fps etiquette: if it's red kill it asap is my only rule =p
Your proposal is good gameplay, though: it's rational and the kind of addition to the game that would make a new(or old) player pay attention and appreciate the merit and justice of the mechanic. It's one of those little touches of sophistication that distinguish a game.
Also, it's a prophylactic: it prevents that guy from hanging back from the fight with his damage modded TAR cherry picking kills.
Unless there's some technical issue it looks like pure win to me.

If I was already fully capable of killing said enemy why would I need your help? I'm mainly a solo player so my #1 rule is "If you want sh*t done, do it yourself".
