not really cal scrubs with scrubbler rifles,gaylente with combat rifles,scummarr with (well you know). we matari have no weapon bias they are all just tools to kill with.

AR is just better right now for CQC with all its recent buffs, even against armor tanks.
Said it 20 times and I'll say it again, this is what happens when you data mine and buff according to kill totals without consideration to what is killed. AR and ScR should be under performing as there are two armor races, one dual tank, and only one shield dependent race. |

When it comes to my MK.0 I have 5 fits.
Each has a different primary weapon.
This to combat the different suits I may be facing.
AR for shields, CR for armor, BrAR for skirmish, RR for long range, TacSNPR for roof top cowards.
You can even make it a Pseudo Scout with damps, kincats and shotgun if it's your only proto suit but you have all the core skills and mods proto...

Weeeeelllllll, although my main on my min assault isn't always a CR, (I often run a scrambler as a main on it) I -do- always finish them off with my smg, so that counts for something ya?

Minmatar only have knives. Any weapons they find on the ground are also fair game.
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

Why use a 550 dps LW with 32 bursts in the clip versus and 800 dps LW with 30 rounds in a clip? And a much better profile to boot...

its Dust 514... where you can fit a suit to your liking. if you want to use a weapon with a dropsuit that doesnt provide a little buff to your gun, then be my guest. you just dont have that small buff that a certain racial assault using their respective racial weapon has. its no different than another suit with no weapon buffs using a gun. if we start defining which guns should and shouldnt be used with a said dropsuit, we may as well let CCP create our fittings for us. sure, i guess one could say they already do that, but i beg to differ. i say the APEX suits and the pre-fitted suits are more of a suggestion for what works best with what suit.
before Uprising, the only Assault was Caldari, the only Sentinel was Amarr, the only Scout was Gallente and the only Logistics was Minmatar. it resulted in Caldari suits running Assault rifles and all sorts of other variations. we are mercenaries, not soldiers. soldiers are given weapons that have been manufactured by their nation, unless their nation doesnt produce, say, a sniper rifle, and then they are told to "adapt to that weapon or die." Mercenaries pick whatever they want, regardless of who makes it.
as for me, i like my plasma weapons, so i'll stick to my Assault Rfile and Ion Pistol on my Gallente Assault. i like my buffs and i choose to utilize those buffs. same with any other suit
TL;DR: if you enjoy playing with a gun that your dropsuit doesnt buff, then thats okay. If it fits your playstyle, then be my guest. welcome to Dust 514, the Burger King of FPS games, where you can "have it your way".
