Seriously, I've seen everything from the burst AR to the ARR and ASCR being called OP. Wtf is going on?

On a serious note possibly the mass driver is a little under par? Though it kills me easily but then I run a lot of no hp speed scout so of course it is going to kill me.

The magsec is a great weapon..... if the kick wasn't so damn ridiculous. Having said that when it came to the officer weapons challenge it somewhat kept up with the SMG which was surprising!

you already have to accound for travel time, input lag is such a small hurtle concidering. just fire half a second even earlyer than you were going to.

i love the magsec! its like my anti armour assault rifle that fits in the sidearm slot. i use it all the time with my scramblers, but also to give my mass driving suits a finisher weapon.

No one would call the Plasma Cannon or Ion Pistol OP but I think they are in a good place. I never want to see the Plasma Cannon, Mass Driver or Flaylock become overpowered. Flaylock and Mass Driver were overpowered at one point and it was honestly the worst build of this game. At the time I ran light frames exclusively. Having a weapon that doesn't require "good" accuracy and is impossible to dodge was so extremely frustrating. |

90% of the dust community are talentless cry babies who have no tactics or general intelligence, you can tell by how they play nobody wants to flank, change to a different weapon to adjust to the situation, call things out, tactically retreat, lure the enemy out in the open, use cover ect. they just want to 1v1 or move in a straight line from A-B it's ridiculous. but until that cuve changes they will always scream OP UP OP UP Q_Q but how else will i live if not on the tears of the weak

The Scrambler Rifle is balanced but a very difficult weapon for newbies. Some how the heat build up needs to be reduced.
The Combat Rifle is still a little too fast at chewing through armor and definitely still has a bitt too much range to be called a close quarters weapon.
The HMG needs hit detection to work properly and THEN receive a small nerf based on how well hit detection is working.
Other than these 3 things I would say everything is reaching a nice equilibrium. I only worry that any fixes to hit detection is going to send us to a place of trying to pull everything back.
P.S.
TTK is also in need of a revisit in my opinion. It is not in a terrible place but being able to have a fight last any amount of time requires tanking of some sort. Trying to run suits differently results in a very fast death and sort of limits your possibilities. |
