This game does not have hundreds of troops pushing forward, does not have a reason for people to resist getting too close to the enemy, does not have a means of allowing artillery, sniping and other long range weaponry to attack with an appropriate amount of protection from being rushed by close range weaponry, does not allow for us to station further from the combat zone.
There is such a thing as a battle line. The redline represents that.

You think the random spawns we have now are bad, this was just horrible. Spawn; Die, and repeat. This went on for quite a while, until they put in the redline.
The redline itself is not the issue, its that you can spend the ENTIRE match in the redline AND score points. I have said for a long time (since it was put in basically,) that there needs to be a time limit and/or that the redline acts as a sort of "barrier." No one should be able to shoot IN OR OUT of the redline. This would solve the issue of redline snipers/tankers, and also redline matches in general...
Needs to be a green line which is the near area of the redline now and then the redline starts at the hill areas. A team getting redlined should be able to have some safe zone between them and the protostompers.

Lol, cowardsGǪ on the battlefield? Not off, but on. Contradict much?
Long range attacks are long range attacks. Short range does not make you less a coward. A video game doesn't even begin to encompass the notion. I'm sure most of the people who say coward about a video game are cowards in RL. Doesn't apply.

I dont get what you are saying... from your comments, you sound like a redline sniper.. are you saying that if they make it so you can't shoot from the redline, that they need to put in a "green zone" that snipers can safely shoot from? I never said remove the redline, I just said make it so points can't be scored from inside-out or outside-in. On top of that, you should have say 2-3 minutes to break out of the redline. I can make a whole lap around most maps in that time. If you cant make it out of the redline in 2-3 minutes, you probably shouldn't be playing dust...
No, the greenline would be that area down at the front of where the redline begins that would be where a team can still fire from without restriction or loss of points, but the enemy can't enter. Theredline would be the area farther back where snipers can back up and hide. That would be the part that gets nerfed for points.
