I think if CCP wants to make some money they should offer a way for people to change their name in this game. Who else would pay a little to change their name in this game? |

Whether or not it happens will actually be a key not of difference between EVE and DUST. CCP has stated constantly that "names are your reputation and in New Eden that is everything." If CCP allowed renames, that would be a bigger "this is not New Eden, at all" than paid SP Respecs.
Will it happen? Maybe, probably. It is a really easy way for people to spend 10 dollars because they don't like their name. Direct quote from CCP Rattati so don't ban me ^_^:

As long as they add a "Formerly Know as:" text to the character info screen people see when they Show Info on someone, I don't see an issue with it.
Since people are impatient and it is a free to play game, there are probably a lot of people who use unfortunate names just to get started quickly so they can shoot someone, and then come to regret their choice once they become hooked on the game later.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Summa Militum is a lot better than most of the names I see though. It has initial caps, no numbers, and is pronounceable. Those criteria alone probably put you in the top 10% for best DUST names. 
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

Thanks. The reason I want to change my name is because I am paranoid about its grammar. I don't know the grammar of Latin and when I tried to look it up online I was met with conflicting information. I want to change my name to something in English so I can be sure to get it right. |

I have the same concern every time I see some White Guy with Japanese or Chinese text tattooed on their body. I always wander if they can read that language or at the very least had someone they trust who does check it out before they got permanently inked.
Makes me wonder how many people there are out there with "Stupid White Guy" tattooed on them in some language that they can't read.
