Yup, this was also my first online fps so I didn't know what the hell was going on. My first match well... I sat looking at the player board thinking we were waiting on players. Until I accidentally hit the start button, and the game was half way done... I then jumped onto a Blaster Turret at shot everywhere.

my first battle was too terrible to remember and my first corp battle was too terrible to remember too.
I was like at .8 kdr and I had no idea how to use equipment or how to play different roles and I was completely lost in all the maps.
I started 3 weeks late after the open beta reset and everyone already knew roles and maps.

Almost two years ago....
I plugged in a MKB, got the game loaded, and went 1-13 or something. The following matches weren't much better.
I had taken a break from FPS for a year or two, so I wrote off my poor performance to getting older and losing my edge.
I learned, a few months later, that my TV and preamplifier had put about a half second of video delay into the equation.
I'm a bit better today, having solved that problem, but MKB is still a huge disadvantage, IMO, for a frontline soldier who prefers short to medium range battles. :) |
