I want to be a mole. I think it would be a cool idea if there were modules (like a mole cloak or something) that would temporarily make you appear as an ally to the apposing team. You could activate it and appear as a member of the enemy team for say 10-15 seconds. Grenades and vehicles that you call would still remain as enemy tools to scanners, but the individual would have 10-15 seconds to cause mayhem, sneak past large groups, mess with a hackable target etc. Those who are paying close attention may recognize you right away, others may not. Even if it is a person you know well and recognize, things can get confusing in a haze of blue and orange so i see the potential for a lot of fun.
of course this kind of item would have to be rare, or received through special mission completion or something. It should not be an item that could simply be purchased. Also there should be a limit on how many you can have in your assets at a time, say 3 or so, that way you could not stock up on them.
so what do you think? am I missing any big points that would make this a silly idea? |

sounds interesting.. a few love taps as IFF.. take damage, u die... live on, to live on...
why not go one further tho.. and make it as if your foes can appear as enemies to their allies?

That would definitely make things interesting. I like the idea of being able to snipe someone from a great distance in a group of people turning them into an instant enemy to allies. Then sit back and watch the carnage unfold. |

This idea frightens me. 
That probably means its a good idea 
+1 for creativity.
You could have a module or equipment item which gave you an ambiguous (purple?) chevron. Would be best (or scariest) in Factionals.
FPS = First Person Support. Kills win battles but it's kinda hard to kill if you're dead and out of ammo.
