Ok so with the news that we are getting our tanks back I'd like to give a word. With these new tanks, we will see a new load of swarms everywhere. I personally think that AV will need to be looked at.
We can all agree that swarms are easy to use weapons. They are the most common form of AV. I'd like to get people out of the habit of using only swarms and push them to use forge guns and plasma cannons.
Here's what I propose.
Swarms- do not touch them they are good as they are.
Forge guns- increase damage by 10-20 percent so that they can compete with the enforcers/mauraders. The advantage here would be more damage/chance of taking out tanks at the cost of complexity (aiming and stuff as opposed to the swarms point and shoot).
Plasma cannon- I also feel these should get a big damage buff. These will be shield WRECKERS.
Vehicles- I think that with these stats, all vehicles should get a 5-10 % hp increase. This will keep swarmers from easily destroying vehicles to pushing them to use a weapon of higher damage.

I agree with the PLC stuffs. They kinda suck even against Shield HAV unless you are fully invested. Forges need small alterations and I think but Breaking has that suggestion covered.

If you think Swarm Launchers are the most popular AV weapon due to their ease of use, you're heavily misinformed. The real reason why they're so popular is because only 1/5 of the classes in DUST can actually FGs, and PLCs while great in the right hands aren't good in most situations.
Truth be told, most players would rather invest into Swarm launchers so that they can have an AV rig as opposed to investing SP into another Dropsuit that they would rarely ever use along with the FG. That aside, there are already plenty of benifits that FG users have over SLs, such as:
- Increased Range (2x)
- Anti-Personnel Capabilities
- Increased Anti-Shield Efficiency
- Ability to pre-spool behind cover
- Near-Instantaneous Travel Time.
- Ability to hit targets partially behind cover.
Giving all vehicles a 5-10% HP buff would also be accompanied by a 5-10% buff to all AV weapons as they're balanced around the current vehicle eHP, thus defeating the purpose of the buff. Not to mention that a 10% increase in vehicle HP would also cause balance issues between turrets and Vehicle vs. Vehicle combat.
Not even going to bother wasting keystrokes explaining why a 20% damage buff to FGs is broken, as I'm sure one of the many vocal ADS Pilots will do so for me.

I have to completely disagree. I have swarms and forges. Swarms at prof 3 and forges at 5 and I much prefer swarms.
It's just so much nicer to fire my swarms and have an almost 100% chance to hit so long as I'm smart about when I fire.
More like Titans of Penis amirite?

Rigs never affect things on such as scale as 200%.......

Just make swarms actually aim: like this thread by Juno Tristan.
Thing is, we don't need damage buffs because of new vehicles: doing so would render the lower HP HAV hulls (and DSs and LAVs) obsolete. Also consider that the 'new', tougher hull has its own drawbacks which let you stay on target longer anyway.
Stop your knee from jerking so hard, you'll injure yourself.

LETS MAKE PLC'S OP!!!!!!.
really though. prof 3 with MLT PLC and using 1 MLT light damage mod is quite enough to dent a gunnlogis shields just past half shield in 1 shot. given hes unhardened and has base shields
then. if I upgrade to my allotek with 3 complex lights and prof 3. lets say the gunnlogis shields are just vaporized leaveing tasty unshielded armour for my lai dai packs
personally only the mlt/std/adv PLCs should have an extra 200 damge. the proto PLC should be left alone or increase damge by 110 to keep its damage higher than ADV.
