My idea of pubs is that it's the place for trying out new stuff, squading up with friends for funs or just to do the grind without the stress of FW or PC. They really need to increase the overall ISK payout. Make it like real mercenaries, you get paid for doing the contract then earn increased payment based on performance.

When Im bored, I make a one man squad, lock it, then run around the outskirts of the map in some lop-worthy fit, and just pick people off 1v1, and its quite fun.
Protostompers play the objectives, avoid them by exploring the map.
"Minja" and "Masochist" are synonyms.

I almost always go isk positive in Pubs, so theres that....

The best way to make money in Pubs is to budget.
I know it's lame... But you have to budget your suit's to what your doing.
The sad consensus that people use these days in DUST is that you want to use a MLT suit and just grind away so you have no losses.. Which is wrong in almost every case.
You want to build STD suit's with near full STD and a few ADV modules on it. And keep costs of the suit around 10-20k Your skills are fully applying to the suit.
Average out what your worse case loss scenario is in matches versus what a good match is then budget your suit investment around that plus making some income.
It's like running a Business You want to invest in your performance but you want to have a profit margin in operating.
After you find a balance, it's then working on personal skill and character skills and you will find profit margins increasing... You then are able to invest more into performance...
Until you find yourself running Proto in Pubs at a profit even Solo... Some matches you take a loss.. Others you make up for it.. Often streaks can occur. |

If you're a new player, as long as you stick with the free starter fits in pubs, you will always have positive ISK flow regardless of how many times you die. Especially when you do ambushes back to back for a single day.
Overall, if you can master the starter fits, you'll do well with the higher-tier gear.

Pubs are for boosting. Go with some friends in a secluded part of the map and @%$*... oh wait ....I meant have 2 fat guys 1 logi.... oh wait..
*ahem*  Have 4 people 2 logis 1 blue 1 red shoot rest armor stacked suits rep damage given to each other and give ammo. Wesker Corp loves to do this I also love calling in a ADS and spoiling their sexy time. Oh there is also the 2 Railgun lavs in the corner shooting each other or the constantly hacking objectives etc etc

Learn how to fit suits and skill into Proto and ADV.
I only have around 8million sp on this account and I have AR 4, RR maxed out, CR 5, and Cal assault lvl 3 (State Proto FTW)
I am actually pretty good despite a 0.68 KDR. (I sucked at first with my KDR and still do. Don't really care.)
These may be my final days, but I will live as I would any other day
