Seriously, people just spam the sh*t out of Core Locus grenades. Also preheating gives you no chance to fight back when they throw it in your face. Locus grenades needs a higher nanite cost. People just throw down (protostompers) up links and spam them till the objective is clear.

If its not core's its mass drivers (guilty) or flaylocks so what's your point? Any explosive is going to be bad in a tight area. But the king of all is RE's I can run a front line suit in with a remote o. It and kill 2-3 people reliably. Just the nature of the beast. Grenades are better than they were in the past idk if you were around then but fused grenades and flaylocks were bad times.

Sounds like you just ran into a single squad in one game running them. Core locus grenades don't actually get a whole lot of use these days, they're not as rare as Ion Pistols or Plasma Cannons, but they're relatively uncommon. Leave the poor things be though, it already takes a proto nanohive just to get a few of em without popping the thing, and they're currently the only grenade capable of killing even an average suit.

Please list the fit you were getting killed in.
I use medium and scout suits. Deaths from RE and grenades happen to me but not enough to make a thread calling for a nerf.
Instead of nerfing something, you can buff yourself by AVOIDING THE GRENADE
I am not spec'd into grenades but I am pretty sure the amount carried is ONE. (They can replenish with a nanohive)

"138" is correct.  Don't panic, Sir Dukey! We have not gone back in a time machine---this is just the growing pain phase this game goes through each time a significant component has been released in the Patch, a component that shuts down a form of gameplay that many players were exploiting.
I think this time, it's the "Bandwith Mechanic". The matches I've been playing NO LONGER have top WP scores in the 2000's . Before Uprising 1.10 there were players who rocked with 2300 WP or more. Now, I am barely seeing 1600 at the top of the battle report.
I didn't want to believe equipment spamming/farming was the gimmick they were gaining all those WP with,...  but...wow.
So for a while some players (SOME, not all, and thankfully not the truly tactical or coop players) will be poking around like curious mice for any other device they can re-discover and exploit. For that kind of gameplayer, it's the only way they know how to "gain anything" in a multi-player game, (actually "learning" a coop skill is something they don't know how to do, and can't be bothered spending time on).
In your match, someone is "trying" the grenades... (I personally would love to see +1 added to my carrying capacity,.. but apart from that, I am comfortable with the way grenades are now).
Next week, someone may "try"...(yikes, I'd better shut up---before I cause my own plague).
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

I' not sure if you are just lucky or what, but I had 4 or 5 matches that were meat grinders, and there was no sentinal on their team. just logi's with remotes and core locus, and hordes of free suit jihadders lol
It was amazing. I haven't had as much fun mowing down waves of paper mache suits in days. |
