What if you take your ads, get rid of the passenger seats, use the side turrets as rocket pods, while keeping your front torrent as is? This would act as your present day assault chopper. Controls would be the same except to use the rocket pods, you would have to switch to 1st person view. Keep the same missiles except you have the ability to fire them as fast as you can. Good for strafe runs. Effective for AV.

Also extend middle range for ALL missiles CCP. Like come one people, There MISSILES. ITS THE FUTURE. they should go on for eve till they blow up. Like the middle installations

i disagree, the maps are too small and open to allow things like that, itd just be unfair to infantry without redesigning literally every map in the game. to have more cover and less extremes in open ground ranges.

in eve there are skills that alter missile velocity and flight time. so they fly faster to target. and they last longer before they run out of fuel. and missile ships give big missile bonuses. it all compounds off each other.
this is how dust was supposed to be. but shrugs.
Don't vote for iron wolf saber.

This is nice, very nice. I'm skilled into the ADS. An exceptional pilot I can say. This would be a great addition, you wouldn't have to worry about the passengers safety or anything. If they added this, I could care less about the Swarms lol. |

Well you still have your standard gun to use as normal. And let's face it. It's kinda rare to see other people manning the 2 other guns on an ads. It's harder to aim and pilot moves a lot. Why not make the whole thing what it should be?

its a dropship not a fighter. there is no room for fighters in this game currently. this ship will mean the end to any dropships in dust and probably tanks too as they would have zero defence against them

Rather, why not have them fire of swarms? AV duty rocket pods, and AP duty front turret.

Love it love everything about it, but one thing to keep it from being OP reduce splash damage by half and increase radius to compensate and allow it to do 3x the amount of damage to Tanks than infantry
new side weapons to assault dropship Hellfire Rockets (note this weapon can only be fired by the passenger)

Then have it lock on turrets or installations take out the front gun keep the rockets. One drop ship for people. Other one for installations and stuff. Make rockets like missle turrets or swarm launch.
Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)

Please go back under your bridge. You claim to espouse V/AV balance but you still talk utter crap.
First person view is limited in usefulness but is actually incredibly valuable in those situations. Setting up a strafe run on an HAV or when dogfighting are prime examples. Can't count the number of times I've finished an enemy dropship off because of first person view.
If the OPs idea were to be implemented I could definitely see using first person view down to about 80m from the ground, switching back after unloading then flicking my nose up to pull out of the dive.

Extending only one kind of weapons range is entirely wrong. Forge Guns used to have a kilometre range, but our maps are just far too small to accommodate for such ranges. If we got bigger maps, every weapon should have its range at least doubled essentially.
