Also, not sure if intentional or not, but the removal of the squad order WP bonus is also a good thing. Now the order is free for use as...y'know, something to be used to indicate the current objective non-verbally. Have been using the attack order a lot more now that I'm not wasting WP doing so.

I love the new Objective Defense Bonus Points, however, I don't like the complete removal of the squad order WP bonus...There are a lot of times where I'm coordinating my squad from behind the wheel of my tank, behind the controls of my derpship, or behind the scope of my sniper rifle and am largely calling out targets for my allies rather than actually hitting them. Since I do not gain intel assist points for intel provided verbally, the change has significantly hurt one of my main gameplay styles. I can still manage, but it's a lot harder to get a bird's eye view and plan an attack when you have to be up in their face to get any recognition. (I do feel it was a net positive change though, but would have just preferred a nerf to the amount gained rather than total removal)
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.
I believe all these roles are support for front line soldiers.

it is only the squad leader who no longer gets the squad order bonus. Squad members earning wp near a defend still do get a bonus.
Now with more evil.

Actually no, I've not been getting any squad order points when I'm not the leader. Maybe you've been mistaking the new objective defence bonus for the squad order points?
