There are many abbreviations in the Dust/EVE Universe. So many that I believe it is hard for any one person to keep track of all of them. The idea of this thread is to expand everyone's knowledge on the various abbreviations.
MCC; Mobile Command Center, You objective to protect in Skirmish and Domination, Do not let it be destroyed.
FW; Factional Warfare. Choosing to fight for one of the factions in the EVE, A=Ammar, C=Caldari, M=Minimatar, G= Gallenta
PC; Is usually Public Contract/ the 3 basic modes, or Private Contract for you corporation.
Reps/Logi; This refers to the class of Logistics that carry healing tools(usually) and people asking for repairs(reps)
LFS; This refers to in game chat where people are forming or looking for squad, LFS= Looking for Squad
RF#; Room For # This is an advertisement by squads with saying # of more people can join
REs; Remote Explosives. A powerful device which have a high damage output
DS/ADS; Refers to Dropships or Advance Dropships
Adv; Advance tools, weapons, modules and such, more powerful than Standard
Pro; Prototype The most advance tools of the game. High outputs of the do, wheather damage, repairs, rearming, and the like
Std; Standard The basics after you have decided to go down a tech tree. Use less PG/CPU than Militia
Mlt; =Militia The most basic tools on the field. Requiring no skills to use, have a very low effectiveness and use more PG and CPU
CPU; I have no Idea/ puts limits on how many/ types of devices that can be used.
PG; Power Grid. Smiler to CPU with just a new name.
Feel free to post any Abbs. that I have left out to help all players.
Heavy's are the the moving walls of one man that force everything else into retreat. Show some love for Logi Bros.

ADS can also refer to Aiming Down Sites, so you have to sort of use context for that one.
Thunderbolt. verb and noun.
"James thunderbolted in his pants."
"I lit a bag of thunderbolt on fire on CCP's doorway"

99 out of 100 forum goers that use the abbreviation PC, mean Planetary Conquest, not Public Contract. Those are referred to as Pubs.
Also, from what I've gathered, anyone that kills you is a Scrub.

As I understand it... a "Scrub" is a well equipped person who kills you, but if you kill them instead, then they are a "Tryhard".

Seriously though, GÇ£PCGÇ¥ almost always means Planetary Conquest. If someone uses PC to refer to Public Contracts then they are either a new player, or they are trying to confuse you. (I know a few people in the latter category.)
ADS: Assault Dropships (an important distinction in case they ever relese Proto or Standard Assault Dropships). ADS: Aim Down Sight. Both are correct and widely used, so the meaning of the acronym is dependent on context. Luckily it is rare for Assault Dropships and Aiming Down Sights to be mentioned in the same discussion.
