I didn't know where else to put this, so I put it in general discussions, but here's my situation.
I have recruited two Eve players to my corporation recently, and they want to build their own little mining mini-corp inside mine, which I'm ok with. I have a few Dusties in my corp that play Eve and would be able to assist them, help us with orbital support, and bridge the two games. However, I'm wondering how limited my Eve players would be in my corporation as far as Eve roles. The only roles I can give them as CEO are director, accountant, and so on, but there are specific roles in Eve for things such as mining, and I'm wondering how the two games affect each other as far as roles go and if I would need to promote one of them director to be able to accomplish what they want. I also know that the master corporation wallet can only be accessed by Eve players, and the mercenary wallet can only be accessed by Dust players. I also have questions concerning members. If I make them director, can they boot Dust players from my corp, or just boot other Eve players? So if I make them directors, they wouldn't be able to access my corp wallet or boot my Dust players, while still being able to run their sub-corp up in space freely. I'm still kind of uneducated. Anything to go on would help.
Thanks! |

If you give an EVE character Director, they can actually unseat you as CEO. If you give them Director or Personnel Director, yes, they can kick DUST players out of your corp. The DUST wallet and EVE wallet are separate, but if they're a Director, they can promote DUST characters to roles like Accountant where it could be accessed.
There is a huge amount of risk in giving roles to EVE characters if you're a DUST CEO. Do it only if well-informed on what you're doing.

Thanks for that. So they are going to be able to mine freely with no restrictions as regular members? |

They don't need roles of any kind to mine. Only to access corp hangars |

What about PC? Any roles needed to aid in that? Or orbital support period for that matter |

Regular members can mine, but the biggest issue is that they won't be able to configure or use corporate hangars for shared storage. This seems like a small thing, but it is not. Some ships like the Orca-class, which is commonly used to coordinate mining operations and transport large amounts of ore, have fairly small normal cargo bays, and very large corporate hangar bays. Without the ability to configure those, it would render a ship like that useless.
There's two good options, as I see it: Get an EVE trial, give that trial character director roles, and configure the corporate hangar settings and stuff for them before it expires. So your permissions never leave you personally. Or have them make their own corp. It's not that expensive, and really, there's no good reason for a mining corp and a DUST corp to be one-in-the-same right now.

Since some number of patches ago, these hangars on the Orca and other ships with corporate hangars have been changed to "fleet hangars" and can be accessed by anyone in the fleet (eve "squad") if the pilot of the ship allows it, regardless of their corp roles or if they are even in the corp.
Corp roles and hangar access should have no impact on small scale mining and are not really necessary |

Directors can not have access to share of a dust character created corporation. the shares stay locked for that corp unless the dust character passes the ceo role to a EVE player then the corp share are free for the taking by any director.
Rest is correct those.

Viktor, there is no way to detect that status from DUST though.
