Part of the dropship description is how one can come in while under fire to extract mercs from a contested area while providing cover fire. Unfortunately, neither of these are possible.
One AV grenade is way too small an investment to destroy something that requires skill (and a ton of ISK if the ADS) to use effectively.

Personally, I'm fine with dropships (more specifically, ADSs) becoming easier to kill, but having an equal trade off in offensive power: make them glass cannons that can violate an area with heavy firepower but they are countered comfortably by a solo AV player - currently a single Swarmer will almost certainly run off a dropship (likely getting at least 75 WP) and has a reasonable chance of destroying it unless it is a solo, proto fit (ie, heavy extender and booster or multiple hardeners) and has a decent pilot.
Quick thought: what about the ADS getting a massive fitting bonus to fit large turrets and having a bit tweak to EHP and fitting space? I guess I'm looking more specifically at the large missile turret, anyway just a thought.
