Compared the the Combat Rifle, there is too much delay between bursts with the Burst Assault Rifle, people will strafe through your bursts like no tomorrow when up close and at medium range, adding more rounds to the burst wont change this, and I feel like it will be an underpowered weapon until the rate of fire is addressed. |

5 shot burst, very high fire rate during the burst, but maintain delay between shots? Basically guarantees the entire burst will connect if you're on target when you squeeze the trigger?

You got Half of the issue correct
What they need is to increase the Bullet number per burst to 4 or 5
and increase BULLET VELOCITY,
The TAC could use this too.
At longer ranges i can ACTUALLY DODGE bullets, and i dont mean like randomly strafing. I mean i SEE them and Move AWAY from their trajectory, like with the Plasma Cannon Or Mass driver at longer ranges....

Spec combat rifle then. It's not supposed to be as good as the combat rifle. It's a variant of the assault. Just like the assault combat rifle isn't as good as the AR.

It's my understanding that most weapons have instantanious impact as far as the server it concerned, regardless of visually how it appears. Any "dodging" of bullets comes from poor hit detection, and not bullet velocity.

Doesnt have to be as fast between bursts as the CR, but giving an increase is needed, or fix the sidestepping crap. |

Burst is not very good compared to TAR or CR.
CR is superior in CQC and has a quicker burst, and tight hip fire
TAR is superior in CQC and range. On shot means all damage is done in one hit, meaning full damage application. And it is better in CQC for the same reason.
You see why it's not considered grand. It's very meh. TAR, ScR, and CR surpass it in most ways.

burst AR does fine on my gal assault
its great at mid-long range combat but trash at cqc unless you're encountering a scout

the burst is pretty good at range, but once you get up close, you need to be fairly precise with your shots, you cant just tap the trigger often, as if you miss the first shot of a burst, your probably going to miss with the entire burst.

the animation plays AFTER it decides weather it hits you or not...
any hits that you suffer dont actually produce animations (watch what happens when a sniper rifle hits its target vs when it misses... all misses have vapor trail but all hits do not)
the animation is just an animation, and the funny part is YOU CANT BE HIT by the animation becuase it only shows for missed shots:P thats why it always looks like your dodging everything. becuase it already missed you.

I understand what you mean , it's like the same with the breach before the ROF changes ... you could step in-between breach rounds somewhat to before the changes .
I think that's what gives those gun character though and you have to remember that the TAR , Burst and Breach are way better then they were and to keep revisiting weapons when there at a better place then they were is just redundant .
We have more pressing issues like glitches still occurring .
I like where weapons are and it would be a better time to introduce some now then it was around 1.7 .
Weapons are more balanced now then they were .
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .
