Ok so i own one of pdp's led light up controlers and it seems to have stick response issues. When i walk with my character it only acts upon the extremes of the axis and only for a split second. So you have to tap the stick to move at all. This is rather disheartening as i love this controler. |

Have you tried messing with the stick sensitivity options yet?
Also, try inverting the sticks, see if it changes at all! Try to explore any option you can, so if the issue comes up again and you happen to find a solution, other people can be helped by your experience. If nothing you can do on your client can fix it, you should let them know exactly what you tried, then be more specific about what controller model you have, if at all possible. |

PL6302 is the model number for the controller. The companies name is pdp these are fairly cheap popular controlers. I have tried sensativity adjustments unplugging repluging and hardware reset. I hope this can be resolved as this controler is my prefered one due to solid sticks with concave grip and decent spacing between them. |

I can confirm, I have the same issue with a different 3rd party controller, namely the "Logitech PlayStation 3 Cordless Precision Controller"
Problem disappeared when using an official controller. |

Considering Sony like to lock out unofficial controllers based on its PID... i'd say the problem lies on the PS3 itself.
They want you to buy their expensive stuff, finding out the PID of the cheapies, then putting in some bad coding to make it work "wonky" seems like an awesome strategy to make you give up and buy an official controller. |

What bugs me is that its only dust i have had this issue with. So i presumed it had to do with thier coding. |

I've got the same problem with both my official controllers. Changing sensitivity settings doesn't seem to have any effect.
The character appears to only move/aim when I'm moving the sticks, if I hold them in one position like fully forward, it's as if they go back to neutral.
This also affects the fitting screen. |

It's not an issue with Sony trying to lock out 3rd party controllers if it only occurs in this game. It's most likely something on CCP's end. |

Having same issue with my Afterglow PS3 Controller. It's probably something on CCP's end because this is the only game that gives me trouble. |

Glad to see that it isn't just me. I use the same PDP controller and have never had issues with any other games. I got it to KINDA work by turning the sensitivity all the way down but then it would still only move fluidly if I barely nudged the sticks in any direction. Dug out my old dual shock (which is missing the R1 buttons due to gaming rage) and the movement was fluid.
Just ordered a new DS3 so I can play the game even though I REALLY hate the non offset sticks for FPS games but sacrifices must be made... I guess. |

Bought a Hori PS3 TACTICAL ASSAULT COMMANDER Controller just for DUST 514...
And it has the same issue, the character is locking up but will start to function correctly if you move the R-PAD ( which in my case wll be the mouse)
Game isnt playable correctly with the Hori TAC 3...
Going to try the delete / reinstall and see if that does anything ... |

Since I'm new to PS3 and the Hori Controller is also new - I downloaded a Demo from PSN called Killzone 3 - its another FPS type of a game, and the Hori TAC 3 Controller worked on that game with out issue.
I guess I'll wait for the next patch to try to use this controller again for DUST. |

Not sure what this means but maybe worth the note.
Started up the game with the HORI Tac 3 controller assigned as controller 1.
Character is locking up as noted before ...
I have a DS3 controller which I then assigned as controller 1.
Character is still locking up as before.
Restarted the game keeping the DS3 as assigned controller 1
Character / Movements are working as normal.
Switched HORI Tac 3 as assigned controller 1.
Character is locking up.
Switched back to DS3 as assigned controller 1
Character / Movements are working as normal.
