- Makes Amarr logis and Caldari Logis disposable units people play for only a few minutes rather than the entire match
- It allows proto stompers to entrench themselves in objectives and make it impossible for newer players to dislodge them, thereby un balancing the game
- It allows players to slay and farm points so that people can essentially reap vast rewards from being a logi while playing any other class
- Allows people to undermine real logis who are dedicated to supporting their team the entire duration of the match
- Introduces an extremely noticeable amount of lag that is especially devastating against solo players who can't compete against squads of lagging players. This also exacerbates lag from foreign players
- Allows bad players to get high scores and rewards while essentially risking nothing thereby undermining the "skill equates to reward" concept CCP, the CPM and dedicated members of the Dust community try to preserve to keep Dust from being a simple lobby shooter that forgoes risks
This is why bandwidth is a good thing. Equipment spam destroys this game in both principal and in practice. It's an exploit that should have been arrested long ago.

1) Now Cal and Amarr logi will be an unicorn like commando after release. 2) In proto squad most have already uplinks or nades lvl.5. Blueberries with uplinks and nades ? B...h please... 3) That's racist. Take out all equipment slots from all classes. Throwing equipment is logi thing. 4) Real logis work in transport or spedition companies. 5) Only on one map. 6) 99% of players will say that Duna is bad player. Yet he's no.1 in almost all global leader boards. |

I haven't been this excited for a update in awhile, good bye uplink spam.
Now we need the strafe update and I will truly be happy(even if it will only serve to buff the heavy, but whateves)

Some Mumbojumbo about relative mass, so Meds get effected by HP mods the least, with heavies and scouts getting hit hardest by the nerf they proposed. I think.

What evidence do you have to support this claim. Gal Logis are for scanning, Min Logis are for repping, I forgot I what Cal Logis do best in, but Amarr Logis will rule by having the most available bandwidth. Also, CCP Rattati has mentioned that the Bandwidth numbers in the patch notes for 1.10 were accidentally reversed. Amarr and Cal Logis will have have most bandwidth available to them when the patch arrives.

Low FPS makes sniping extremely difficult.
I like the bandwidth idea.

1. Yup and instead of giving them bonuses that make them worth keeping on let's try to force people who want to support their team into a terrible suit the whole match, right?
2. Proto stompers don't need equipment to stomp a team of newberries. If there happens to be equipment spam while they are stomping it's just another symptom of a bigger problem.
3. So if an assault suit lays down a link and goes around killing people he's not doing a logi thing and gaining points while not running a logi class?
4. There's that "real logi" term everyone has a different definition for.
5. Lag goes both ways. Also Dust is a laggy game altogether. Equipment spam isn't the only cause for lag and if the time that's being dedicated to the equipment spam witch hunt were used to figure out reliable ways to increase frame rates i think everyone would be better off.
6. Then to wrap up declaring other players bad for doing things that are allowed in the game, then trying to suck up to CCP, the CPM, and unspecific players, topped off with a strawman. Nice.

Wow, what pile of bullshit, in which most of it isn't even based off reality of how the game is played from a day to day basis.
Stop believing the forum propaganda from players who don't even log onto the game. And haven't in over half a year...
The best part of this is where you blame the equipment for the lag. Not CCP.
Like you can't be this oblivious?

This is the patch I've been anticipating since launch because it will turn the game into what it should have been since the beginning.

First thing im going to do in my first game back from the patch is drop 9 nanohives around a supply depot using a proto Cal logi, and then im going to switch to either an Apex fit or a sniping one.
Next game? Can either drop 5 nanohives or uplinks in a proto assault and then switch to an Apex or a sniping commando.
If i see anyone from Molon in the game, im spending every resource to put a uplink on every single high place I can. If its a roof, expect it to have a spawn point. If i forgo remotes, I can put down something like 9 uplinks. Fly around, put 9 uplinks, fly back to safety and snipe.
You think equipment spam is done? Hah hah ha. People who want to spam still will. Whats done is that lone guy on the roof keeping the ADS from hovering over your heads all game with a forge gun. Or that guy who put proxies on the back of the bridge which just destroyed that Ion Cannon Maddy that was going to wreck all your scout fits from the back.
6 proto players can switch to 6 protofit assault with proto hives and deploy 3-4 of them, and then switch to an Apex or their regular proto assault. Yeah, if each person put out the 4 maximum, thats 24 hives, or almost 3 times as many as I could put out. |

I dry heave when I see HMG sentinels standing in their own repping nanohives. Disgusting.
This is one of the best balancing changes CCP has pushed out yet. Wish it had been here since day 0, but glad it finally arrived.
In reply to Bethhy's chimping out: I play 5 days a week. My opinions are informed by weeks of recent gameplay experience.
My advice to you, playa...

Yeah, if each person put out the 4 maximum, thats 24 hives, or almost 3 times as many as I could put out. All I know is that the days of 50+ pieces of equipment on either team is over. Why? Because although it is still possible one thing you can be sure of is that flux drops will make it impossible to retain them forever.
You could potentially become a real logi and continually place down equipment, but then you would be limited to that suit and that suit alone to me maintain your equipment.

I imagine since the sentinel's job is to mostly to absorb DMG and not avoid it, they would be hurt by this the least. However, the scout and assault who currently strafe when fight sentinels will feel it the hardest.

it won't be the end all to spam but i forsee less of it now.. if someone still wants to spam it sounds like they have to invest some SP in more than just the equipment to do so.. it is fun to watch the equipment spammers butthurt tho. it is definately there turn to get nerfed like the rest of us have. i'm sure they were the first to post stuff like "mmm delicious tears" when the topic had absolutely nothing to do with them and their equipment spamming role they assumed was immune from the hammer.
