its pathetic and dosnt make sence when people try to compare eve bandwidth to dust bandwidth.
drones only attack. they are not ammo resupplies, they are not mobile cynos they are mot mobile tractors or mobile cyno jammers
useing your dust == eve bandwidth then in eve mobile tractors, bombs, mobile cyno jammers cyno generators and all that stuff should ALSO USE BANDWIDTH.
with the 300WP solo flux being 50m radius i can see a massive slowdown in match "action" more so then after they changed orbitals from 2500 to 5000 WPs
but no one even through about baby logis and newbros.. their equipment will get blammed first meaning much less WP for them.. same goes for the needle WP changes.
most of the 1.10 changes are far too veteran centric
i am happy that there should be less scouts around, but i just have the bad feeling that "Slayer Logi 2.0" will be the next FOTM

It isn't necessary, its because they cant fix the frame rate problems on the ps3. If there was no problems would you still be saying its a good idea? Unless you have an organise team, it means you can't change suits without hurting your team. I don't want to run logi all game just so My team has links to spawn in on. |

You dont have to... an uplink can fit on suits other then a logi ya know.

The real benefit of bandwidth is the logistics role is now a full time role instead of something players begin a match with, then switch to a slayer role later.

most of the time the team has a boner for slaying and not AV.. thats why i have to float back and forth.. ofc there will a differance if squadding up with peeps you know and you all have mics its just yet another change which is worsening solo and newbro play experance

logistics is more then just dropping uplinks and following headless chickens with a reptool. its also performing other roles thich the team may be lacking in so the Slayers can slay.

If you are trying to solo logi (which is possible, just harder) then be prepared to swap to a different role to take out AV, sentinels, or scouts. You can no longer do it all. Embrace that idea and find squadmates who need you.
Incidentally, the dedicated logi role is about to be in higher demand because of bandwidth. This might be a good chance to find a good group of players to run with consistently.

Nothing is stopping you from killing folks in your Logi Suit. People used to slay in the damn things for quite some time.
But Running a logi, plopping equip down and then jumping into a Heavy or a Salt should NOT let you keep the advantages of a logi. People running a fighting logi (a Amarr) will be able to play AV w/ a sidearm, but the others cant. Its a fault of the class. ITs a negative to keep the logi from just wrecking the assault and being making them obsolete. Deal with it, or play a Amarr Logi, or play a different class.

Yes, actually i would still say its agood idea. by the way, i can manage a positive KD in a standard min logi while playing solo. just because you dont have a secondary weapon doesnt make you useless. personally ive always run the scrambler rifle, because of its magazine size. ive never once had to reload the thing while fighting someone.

The point of Dust is that it was meant to be a tactical shooter with different people doing different roles. This solo player mentality is a symptom of the impression of bad blueberries. I think this mentality should start to decay. Its what is happening in the real world, people just don't want to get along and have some faith in others.
Also, I believe CCP wants dedicated logis who want to do AV to use equipment to do AV, ie remotes or proximity explosives.
Just a few thoughts to think through.

Why do logi's need to AV? Why not have a commando with some swarms? Logi him. Supply him with ammo. Ect.
