REs are fine.
If you are unsure if a location is rigged with REs, use a flux.
If you see them, destroy them.
If you see someone dropping them, move away.
If you hear someone dropping an equipment behind you, run.
If you charge after a weakened target expecting an easy kill and then get killed by an RE, it's your own damn fault.
The only thing about them that really has to get fixed is that you can place them at locations where you can't see them and sometimes even can't destroy them. Like when you drop them right above the console on a Nullcannon and they slide away to some mystical place. Ok, I've said this before in other RE cry threads where it has been brought up.
THEY DON'T SLIDE AWAY TO SOME MYSTICAL PLACE ANYMORE!!!!
IT NEVER WAS A MYSTICAL PLACE BEFORE EITHER, IT WAS RIGHT ABOVE THE CONSOLE AND IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO LOOK UP, GUESS WHAT?!?! YOU SAW THEM!!!
I wish that it was still possible to at least deliberately place them there without being above the objective yourself, you know, to foster more situational awareness.

Jihad Jeeps are only a problem if you're a tanker. They are just a bad game mechanic. I could understand it if two players had to jihad into someone....but one dude deals 10264.8 explosive damage or more. In order to deal that 10264.8 DPS (yes, I meant DPS), they need to sacrifice either themselves or a teammate (if they're doing it right they'll have one guy looking at the map guiding the driver in on the HAVs flank , not like I've ever done this.... )
I respectfully disagree that they are "just a bad mechanic" they developed as emergent gameplay, a nearly sandbox solution to the problem that was OP HAVs in an age of UP AV.

If you place REs right above the console on Nullcannons they slide downwards and you can't see them anymore. I tried this out just yesterday. It still works. Well, this is news to me since I always aim the RE for directly on the console on just below it. I'll try it myself when I get on later.
Also, my statement isn't a flat out lie from my experience, they do not slide up the null cannon anymore and when they did, if you looked up, you saw them.
