Shotgun needs to fire in a 7 pointed star pattern, and get more accurate as you keep firing, until it becomes a single powerful beam of Lasers and Electricity.
SMG. Also gets more accurate as it fires. Overall mediocre stats. Ramps up in damage as it heats up like the Laser Rifle.
Sniper. Massive single shot pulse laser. Huge headshot damage.
AV weapon. ??? I don't know.
Grenade. Flashbang io steroids. So much light it burns the optical units of suits for a few seconds until the nanites repair them. Does a little bit of damage.
Please, make my Opus pretty...

You are looking at weapons wrong if you think every race needs 'shotgun' and 'sniper'. Each race is very distinct and instead would operate more along the lines of 'Short range' 'service rifle' 'long range' 'launcher' 'av' 'grenade' 'heavy av' 'heavy ai' 'pistol' 'service sidearm'.

I think they have given up on diverse weaponry long ago.
I would love it if they added new weapons but I have my doubts.
