Matchmaking?
I think I know why they don't address matchmaking. I don't think they know what to do about it. Its possible with so few players playing, matchmaking might cripple the game. If they put a piece of CODE in place to sort out lifetime SP users
500,000 - 2,000,000 = Tier 1 2,000,000 - 5,000,000 = Tier 2 5,000,000 - 8,000,000 = Tier 3 8,000,000 - 12,000,000 = Tier 4 12,000,000 - 15,000,000 = Tier 5 15,000,000 & up = Tier 6
That's just an example, but you get my drift. If they did that...there might never be matches to play. It would be nice if they could write a piece of CODE that would separate the players in the match though...put the top 10 career SP players on separate teams...divide it 5 and 5 or 12 6 and 6 if there is a protosquad, leave the squad but put all the rest of the protostompers on the other team.
I feel like they are trying to build this game into a game people want to play and then once that is done and the game grows an ample bit and the player base is bigger then they can address matchmaking.
That's my theory...what's yours? It'll be a long grind from here if my theory is correct.

There is a 'mu' skill rating system in place.
It is a lot more complex than just SP brackets.

Chess ranking isn't really going to do as much to help as a more comprehensive matchmaking system would.

The new roadmap says something about "Meta level lockouts" for Non-uprising 1.1.
Sounds interesting.

It's more than this. It takes into account KDR, squads, and WP earnings, apparently.

there needs to be more effort to not put 2 corps on one side and randoms on the other.
it's obvious that MU is not working as intended, total stomps/redlines and one-sided games as of late.

Those games are never fun....everyone cries about RE's and heavy's and shotgunning scouts (even me) but if things were more evenly distributed, it would make everything balance out for sure. |

I have never seen good matchmaking in a multiplayer. One of the problems is people are allowed to choose, and with the anonymity of being online, many choose to be dicks.
Because, that's why.

All i need to do is check the teams and its usually very obvious how the game is going to go. Often the opposing team looks like general tso's qsync. Im not accusing them of it, thats just how it looks |
