If I were to get a Caldari or Minmatar Apex suit, which one would you recommend and why?
My Isk payout gets lower and lower the more I play, even though I'm getting better. Smells like success.

Specific class? If not, then go Assault.
Scouts are in for serious nerfing; I'd hold off until the dust settles.
Heavies are broken overdue a proper nerfing; I'd avoid these as well.
Basic EQ isn't very good, so scratch the Apex Logi.

That leaves us with Assault as the safest option. Both MN and CA Assault seem to be good suits. I'd check their loadouts and pick the one who complements best your SP investment.

CAldari because Minmatar suits look fugly as f***.
Also. Rail rifle and a Caldari assault is a weapon+dropsuit combo that works 100% while in the correct (optimal) range.
The reason is that the only other weapons that have similar range are TAC AR's, Burst ARs , SCR rifles... That while being powerful anti shielding weapons, the CAldari Suit has enough shield regen to be back on the gun fire exchange in no time and out damage the slower regen of the Armored variants.
The minmatar assault, while fast and rusty, doesnt guarantee 100% effectiveness in their optimal range since many weapons are effectie at its range. Plus, All rifles.
