I would rather see the fitting meta level of the killer/killed in the kill feed than the loyalty rank.
Example Clone D [7] (MLT Combat Rifle) Tryhard1 [68]
What is the good of seeing loyalty rank? I don't care about anybody's loyalty rank.

Meta level is so much more telling than loyalty rank.
For instance, I could see, oh, Tryhard1 is wearing a 68 level fitting, and going around killing 9,14, and 20 level fittings. I'll just have to put a stop to that. Tryhard1 is focusing on easy kills again.

I'm not disagreeing that Meta Level would be a good idea. As you see on the roadmap, Fit Metalevel is planned on being added. Chances are once that is implemented, the ability to view your killer's fit's meta level will be added.

Why not show both killer and killed?
Because it is an option to turn it off. A high loyalty rank basically means "Hello, I spent a lot of money on this game" so I can see how it would be a bit of a shame thing. If you were ashamed that you spent so much money as to be rank 11, me killing you would display your name even if you didn't want to. It also has the effect of "You are ONLY level 2? WTF NOOB1!"
That's just my guess. It was probably also easier than queuing both users to determine what their settings as. "A kills B. A doesn't want it to show but B does so show rank of B but not A." This way, it can be a pride thing that "Captain Joseph Ridgeson" killed someone or just Joseph Ridgeson killed someone.
By the way, I am mediocre at best so every time you see "Joseph Rigeson (yada yada) X" it is pretty clear that Y is likely ashamed of themselves. I mean, hell, I would be.

The "By Popular Demand!" bit made me tilt my head a bit, since I can't think of a single instance where I've seen someone request that. On the forums? Sure, but in game? Maybe I'm just not paying attention.
