I hate the scan range changes because Sentinels are stuck at 15m.
so when will the base ranges actually reach the innermost ring on the scanner?
when the scan range mods still give +% modifiers, exactly what is the impetus to giving up HP to do anything for detection?
I'd LOVE a reason to unload a pair of defense mods in exchange for range amps and load precision in the highs on my fatsuits.
But unless the range mods get changed to a flat +15m range apiece... Bricktanking it is.
This really highlights how lame the EWAR and detection in the game is to me, because I have yet to seriously fit for detection of even assaults because at no point is it worthwhile, nor will it be worhwhile.
None of the EWAR mods have any value whatsoever to me, on my sentinel or assault fits because of the anemic and torturously short ranges scans operate at.

Agreed.
Close: with the incredibly short range, unless you're a CalScout, you'll either have already begun fighting by the time you pick them up, or you'll have been shotgunned seven hundred times already.
Normal: unless you're a scout, you're sacrificing a huge amount of Highs to scan things down reasonably and the range is still pathetically short.
Far: with such a jump in precision, it'll be a wonder to pick up Sentinels.
I think the changes are a great step in the right direction, but I highly doubt anything will change upon deployment due to the awful base stats of anything other than Scouts and sort of Logis.

Logis have more RANGE than scouts , Radar wise.
And no, i DONT THINK ALL SUITS SHOULD HAVE EWAR capacities.
E-war is a SCOUT-(and now) Logi thing. They are the 2 most GIMPED EHP suits in the game. If you can run around with 1000EHP and Ewar then there would be no point in running scouts.

You don't get to say anything about EHP gimping on scouts given their ability to kill people without getting nailed in turn.
Only your point with the logi has any validity.
And Bluntly I never agree with you anyway, so whatever.
