Tape a smart phone onto your forehead. Press record, use a mirror if you need help. Then just run back to your game and play. Try to hold your head still. Oh and remember to edit out bathroom breaks.

Depends on your budget, but you'll need an HDMI converter first to bypass the PS3s HDCP garbage. I have the LiveGamer HD in my PC for recording but thats probably still almost $200. There are cheaper options but they won't be quite as crisp, so a lot of it comes down to budget, what type of quality you want, and how much space you have inside your PC

There are many options in capture cards but all of them will require a laptop or a PC.
Capture Card
Previously I used the Happauge HD PVR 2 but found its quality to be a little lower than i would like.
Currently I use the Aver TV HD DVR. This is an internal device that you have to add to a PC but it is much more versatile and is a zero lag card which allows me to game on my PS3 directly through my PC. This gives me the ability to create some pretty intense sound and color settings.
Streaming
No matter what device you go with to get the video on to your computer there is only one option in recording and streaming and that is Open Broadcaster Software. This will allow you to circumvent the HDCP protection on the PS3. It will provide a smoother stream than the included software with whatever card you choose. |

I have an El Gato Game Capture HD and I might have an HDMI splitter that bypasses HDCP. I can neither confirm nor deny the second part. =ƒÿÖ
It's was surprisingly easy to accomplish. |

I received a GoPro for my birthday since I like snowboarding. I m considering the idea of using it to record gameplays, this Way I will also show the public:
a) my Cat trying to make me die jumping on the screen while I m fighting a sentinel
b) the chaotic maelstorm that is my room
c) my house when I have to go to take something to eat
d) my p33nus when I go to the bathroom between a match and the the other.
e) the great flying ability of my controller when I get killed by the third RE spammer in a row.
One of the few assaults you'll find in a PC match!

use your smart phone portrait [_] not landscape [____]. dont forget to open the curtains for maximum glare on the screen too! and finally upload to youtube with some crappy wub-step sound track that is made by skrillex.

Take your capture card (toaster) and insert your battery, video card and memory card (bread slices). If your toaster has a yellow sticky that says HD chances are it's HD. Plug it in and record!

don't use roxio or something cheap and crap with a thousand wires, watching my own footage back is painful i've no idea how people suffered that long, i use elgato hd game capture, elgato are pretty good, you need to use the component wire for ps3 and it's a bit weird setting it up though.

All I really want to do is record my gameplay and post it on YouTube without having people ask me in the comments section whether or not I recorded the video with a potato. I don't want to spend too much money on this but at the same time I don't want to go cheap with it.
Also, do the gameplay recording devices usually come with its own editing software? I don't want to post up only 10 to 20 minute videos of entire matches. |

the game capture hd is the best most affordable and easiest way to get this done.

elgato comes with its own software that works great, it has got me to almos 4k subs without need for anything else ! goodluck

that share butten is crap and only works on certain games and due to american laws is there is voice comms you would ahve to explisitly ask EVERY person if you can record them.
