I have lvl 5 in all of the skills related to the scrambler rifle. I used the love the rifle before I stopped playing for a couple of months. I pretty much suck with the rifle now and I have switched over to the combat rifle. Some advice on how to use the scrambler rifle would be really appreciated!

Play with ScR few days.
Use charged shoots more often.
Cqc didn't changed. Tap r1 as fast as you can.
[always run with 1-2dmg mods]

I've found the ScR is best used against scouts of all types, shield med suits (Cal and Min) and lower tiered medium suits. When fighting a Sentinel or heavily armored med suit, it's best to try and keep some distance while engaging, or just switch to your sidearm (SMG works best imo, but generally any armor-strong sidearm your comfortable with) when they're into armor. Try to keep a little distance and make quick but accurate shots; make every shot count.

The charge shot is mathematically pointless.
You can deal more damage spamming the trigger, then a charge with follow up shots.
Be like REY CE and use a modded controller too, that really helps. |

The Charge is useful as it is a high-alpha. The very second you place your first shot on a target it will start evading, where as if you find an unaware target a Charge will OHK if they are standing still (Dat HS bonus), or guarantee an edge by ensuring that when they do start evading you've already placed a lot of damage downhill. It certainly is not for all occasions though.

1. use a turbo controller.
2. use adv or better SCR
3. damage mods!
4. scout or sentinel

Charge shoot is what makes it better than TAR.
Not only it gives advantage when someone ambush on you [first shot high alpha dmg followed by stream of normal shoots] but it's great to poke people while using cover.
Charge then poke someone then get back to cover and poke him again with another charge shoot after 2secs.
