I don't see what the problem is.
A dropship can still hover overhead without showing up on TACNET and fire upon trigger squeeze doing splash damage (no lockon time, no warm up time) and pick off helpless unsuspecting infantry below. Unless forge gunning, infantry have to take time to go change dropsuits, lockon and wait for their slow swarms to catch up and hit the target, giving the ADS time to duck behind cover and escape.
ADS pilots expect to be the god of thunder raining bolts of lightning down from the sky without dispute. A game is where BOTH opponents can participate in the conflict. And it still takes multiple AVers to take down any well fitted ship/tank.
Usually AV works like this: Foot soldier gets one shotted by a vehicle blast of some kind. Spawns back in AV suit and spends the next 3+ minutes chasing down vehicle that one shotted him/her and it takes multiple hits to destroy vehicle. The driver jumps out before vehicle is popped, and runs away so lives to fight another day anyway.

This hasn't been true since the final patches before 1.8. All vehicles are soloable with proficiency 3 swarms/forge.

The fire and forget mechanic of swarm launchers is complete and utter bullcrap. I find it way too easy to take out vehicles with swarms in my calmando suit. I can only imagine how easy it would be if I had a minmando. It is a weapon which takes no skill other than situational awareness, and it can decimate dropships (which arguably requires most skill out of any role in dust).

No dude, they usually say "PROTO MINMATAR COMMADO PROTO SWARMS PROFICENCY 5!!"
Like it magically makes using swarms a skill., when it does the opposite and makes swarms even easier to use.
I might as well say "TURRET RELOAD SPEED LEVEL 5! It makes my tank drive better."
Maybe I'm a hypocrite, i do have adv minmatar commando and wyrokamis prof. 2. Or maybe i'm just describing lol easy mode from the other side of the coin.
