It's pretty weird that they forgot to add a simple maxlength mark in their form to avoid this issue.. The forum is incredibly well coded, complex, and has a lot of great tools so it's really weird to have such a stupid issue on it.
On topic, I think they should buy new EU servers, take out the ability for players to pick the server. And if 2 players from different servers want to play together, they will go on a new "Worldwild" server dedicated to this. It could fix all the worst issues this game has.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
Scrubs will cry, good players will love it.

According to what I've seen from friends and other players, a good connection doesn't seem to help you in Dust xD I have a good ADSL connection (Still waiting for the optic fiber), and I still have some serious lags. But a friend with the crappiest connection in the world have way less lags! And another one with an amazing fiber connection can hardly find a normal battle..
I do think CCP's servers are old and crappy, and they REALLY need to be changed. Mostly in Europe where their servers are absolute jokes.
Take out all forms of scans and you'll see how great Dust can be.
