Switch the stats of re's with proxy's. Since re's are mainly used for infantry it should take at least two to kill a sentinel or a hp packing Assault or logi suit. To me the proximity mines are the under powered ones that need the buff. Compared to its fellow Remote Explosive brother it's stats are backwards.
Let's be honest one hit kill re's are cheap. I think everyone can agree on that. Even the ones who use em.
The damage stats for the re's should be: 400, 550, and 700. The damage stats for proxy's should be: 800, 1150, and 1500.
I know everyone wouldn't mind these changes and it would be for the better! You don't have to remove them, just BALANCE them. |

I actually wouldn't mind this too much, but those numbers need to be upped. If you're gonna swap the numbers, do a straight up swap, not a swap and lowering of damage. Given the fact you can't detonate proxies at will, they should have the full proto damage of RE's at 1750.

REs are fine.
If you are unsure if a location is rigged with REs, use a flux.
If you see them, destroy them.
If you see someone dropping them, move away.
If you hear someone dropping an equipment behind you, run.
If you charge after a weakened target expecting an easy kill and then get killed by an RE, it's your own damn fault.
The only thing about them that really has to get fixed is that you can place them at locations where you can't see them and sometimes even can't destroy them. Like when you drop them right above the console on a Nullcannon and they slide away to some mystical place.

RE's wouldn't be so much of an issue, vs Sentinels, if the splash resistance and shield resistance worked.
If REs are exempt by design, then perhaps lowering the Proto back to 1500 and making the damage across range 1000, 1250, 1500.
Working resistances is preferable.

I believe CCP already fixed those slide.
And for people who complain about RE, u r a crybaby .

Sorry, but yeah no.
The only time I ever see a benefit to flinging REs around the place is on domination maps and I know our team will at some point be forced outside of the building. If I know the enemy team is an uplink/hive spamming team, then I'll litter the place with REs before we get forced out. I don't even need to set them off, someone will either shoot them or trigger them with a flux and destroy the uplinks.
Now I'm wondering if Prox's blow up when set off like a RE? Those could be used to set more uplink/hive traps. |

They do. You can even use your RE to set off an adjacent prox if you're so inclined to double your explosive power.
I haven't found a use for this yet. |

I miss that.
Also, it wasn't "to some mystical place", it was just above the console, if you looked up, you could see them.

Sorry but it is so funny.
When I running around in scout suit with 250HP everything is "one hit kill" for me, even exploding vehicle can kill me. And here we have some player that usually prefer to stack his shield extenders and armor plates in to the level when he have 5-7 times more HP then me, and because of it what kind of weapon I take in order to kill him(shield-base or armor-base) is less important because I simply will not be able to finish him before he will drop my 250HP.
..and THAT kind of people dictates us with weapons should be "balance" and with one shouldn't.
