a "very" large salt flats map.
large to the point of making derp ships necessary, and no I'm not a derp pilot nor skilled.
tanks would have large areas to patrol along with the lavs. I own an lav bpo and have no tank skills invested.
use terrain editing to create geologic "small" features that could be used in defilade. features should not provide overwatch, and must be a challenge for cloaked scouts to navigate due to distance and travel time.
use terrain editing tools to create manmade burms, ditches, mounds etc. features you would have due to shallow strip mining. these man made features should be infantry strong points, vehicles should be able drive through the area --KILL BOX-- but not haphazardly drive over features without risk of getting stuck.
use the various vehicle items ( non player ) items trucks, crains etc as window dressing around hacking panels, but NO large sockets or structures nor inbound sniper perches- snipers can defend objectives on the ground shooting out, they can earn their rep and isk. ( No more redline, or roof top)
terrain uses little cpu so a "very" large map is low lag, and other than creative brain storming should be quick, inexpensive to create, and then re-edit often going forward. ( lots of white, I'm not sure if sodium chloride is white under eve lore)
name it SALT514.
optional: increase player count edit added: your terrain editing tools should have a square earth shaping tool use it to create faux structures and then create a HESCO Bastion paint and just paint it, HESCO will be around as long as dirt exists..lol |

This moon that "salt flats" is located on is in orbit around a former "super"gas giant and their star is now Neutron. The gas giant's orbit was very distant- enough so that when it's star went into it's expansion and collapse the giant survived, and shielded it's only remaining moon.
For billions of years the gravitation field of the gas giant exerted such force on it's moon that frictional forces deep bellow it's crust produced enough heat to keet a liquid ocean under 5 miles of frozen ice. For millenia comets, gravitationally captured, by the gas giant planet crashed into it's moons and deposited their frozen H2O3. The expansion and collapse of the star evaporated the moons oceans and it's collapse blew the gas giants and it's moons atmosphere into the cosmos.
The star aged and it grew from it's original red to brown and it's collapsed neutron form,
Looking out onto the salt flats you first notice the strobing pulsed light from the Neutron star, and a strange glow from the former gas giant, that you orbit, produces most of the luminosity. The salt it self is hard to describe, since the neutron stars light is more than remarkable, it's trully phantastic. Objects in the far distance are dificult too see, almost a mirrage effect, but as you travel details and landmarks magically appear.
Man's foot print can be seen in mining activity, because the Caldari are here.
