I would like that, but changing the squad sizes i believe would improve gameplay without stressing an already laggy game.

we had only 4 man squads in closed beta, no one remembers them because it did not improve anything.

I thought about a system where you change the Squad size based on Game Mode. 4 = Pubs 8 = FW ? = PC (would recognize both Squad types) If you try to use the wrong Squad size in the wrong Game Mode, it just wouldn't let you into said Mode.

that would be quit a pain though in my opinion: *comes out of FW* "aw damn! that was some stomp, lets do a 'bush to resupply on isk" Scotty: battle unavailable "**** it forgot! k (insert name here) and (insert name here) leave sqd and do a 'bush and re-sqd back" *comes out of match, others are missing in action... *

Typically people try to maximize the number of people who are in their squad, or the squad fills up in the warbarge, or a random joins during the battle. This means most squads that are in battle are squads of six. Two squads of six can fit on a single team with a remainder of what are normally 4 blues.
The reason this would be better is that it would allow a whole team to be squaded (filling each squad that is). This is what's important.
Squads of 4: more likely that multiple squads will fight multiple squads. Allows coordinated groups to fight with other coordinated groups that they otherwise wouldn't play with.
Squads of 8: Increases the infuence squads have over a team. Increasing the resources a squad has and therefore increasing the opportunity for teamwork. Reduce the random chaos that is a six man squad and 10 random berries somewhat.
Maybe you didn't notice it improve anything because you where afk'ing?

That could be problematic. Good spot. I could see me having that exact problem. While it'd suck ass in that light, it would hopefully balance Pubs out some due to having more Squads to choose from and give better options to the dudes who run FacWar and give them better, more organized fights. Just my two CP.

It definitely made things worse because it removed the auto-squading as well. Team play has slowly eroded in Dust IMO.
