I recently came back to the game, to find out that people are taking advantage of this at ranges of about 200m, and using the cloak as a "magical healing zone".
Cloaks should be used to sneak around people who are less observant, or not aware of your location. They should not be able to completely escape combat if someone knows where you are, and is staring directly at you.
Also, the smoke effect in some levels, completely replace the shield glimmer effect (as in it's no longer there) at about 50m.

An invincible healing bubble is not a cloak.... Same functionality as the "cloak" now.
You can't hit them until they reveal themselves at range, as there is no hitbox to shoot.

Does your reticule turn red? Have you tested it with a player that you KNEW what they were doing?
I have not had a stable testing environment, no. All live games.
Many things simply do not exist from the player end when there is no visual to back it up. One of the things I can point to, that many people have encountered, are invisible Swarm Launcher missiles.
BECAUSE they could not fix the "no render data" issue, they instead reduced the range of swarms... (because if the person launching the swarms did not load into your console, the swarms would never load) I suspect that this issue is within the same vein. Hence it is sporadic, just like the original problem was. Last I checked, the reticule didn't change colors when the cloak was on at that distance. I gave the hill a few tight sweeps over the general area of disappearance.
It would make sense that this is the same bug. No visual = no ability to see or hear swarms. No visual = no ability to see the enemy position with your scope reticule. As they both require a target in loaded area to be associated with.
However, if someone can get a buddy who is willing to stand still in cloak, then move set increments to test this, I would like to see the results at various ranges.
