Rattati the vehicle gap should be filled in the categorys of the light+heavy aireal vehicle and the medium ground vehicle.
So lets start with the ligth aireal vehicle: -1 seater vehicle -role is similar to a interceptor on eve (on dust that would mean AV capability only with low tanking) -weapon systems should be something similar to swarm launchers, you lock on and start firing the weapon -the HP on it should be less then a LAV but enough to take at least 1 proto swarm hit and survive -mobility should be much faster then a ADS due to the fact that if you get hit by 2 swarm volleys= dead -VTOL alike controlls like we have with dropships= vertical take off and landing
Heavy aireal assault vehicle: - 3 seater vehicle (1 large turret and 2 small turrets) - tanking should be slightly less then a regular tank - conecept of the 3 turrets is like this: large turret is fixed like on a ADS, the 2 small turrets are attached to "wings" on the left and right. Imagine it like on a Hind D ->Hind D on wiki<- - mobility should be slower then a regular dropship. The aireal advantage comes at a price with no cover. - VTOL tech like with dropships. VTOL= vertical take off and landing
Medium attack vehicle: -6 seater vehicle to mirror logistic dropships but as a ground vehicle instead -tanking should be inbetween dropships and tanks -4 small turrets (2 on the front and 1 turret to the left+right which makes the back the blindspot) -basically like a APC ->info what a APC actually is-<
Thats basically it. A light aireal vehicle for pure AV purpose (hit and run), a heavy aireal vehicle for a proper attack from above cause ADS are not cut for it and a medium ground vehicle as support for ground troops.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!

I could see a Heavy Aerial Vehicle equipped with 3 medium turrets for sure however I think the option to fit Large Turret to one would be....iffy to say the least.
I said, "Empress, I do this, I thought that you knew this.

I think MAVs would be best with 1 small turret on top, which is operated from inside the vehicle so the gunner is not vulnerable. Every APC I've ever seen (in pictures and stuff) has the turret on the top to provide a 360 degree field of view. Putting turrets on the front and sides but not the top makes no logical sense. Also having 4 small turrets would just be a bit much, because if it's supposed to be comparable to a real life APC it isn't meant as an offensive fighting vehicle, it's armoured transport. It should have the same offensive capability as a LAV but can carry more people and is much stronger defensively, and with the gunner protected. Also much slower than a LAV.
Add these as Minmatar and Amarr first, because we have been jealous of the Gal and Cal vehicles for so long. And ASAP! |

Actually apc's nowadays can and are used for assaulting amor and light skin targets. Take the bradley in the gulf war. It fought side by side with Abrahams mbt. Or the striker (best damn piece of tech) nuff said, hell that apc has a variation to were it becomes a tank killer.

id prefer an mav be like a 6 wheeled tank destroyer. or have a big swarm launcher turret as well as having 4-5 seats to transport people
the lavs need to add a cage to the gunner anyway cause you get instagibbed the second you switch to a turret if your within range. thats why ive only ever used railgun turrets to snipe from a lav.
anyother way gets you killed instantly.

Bright, your ideas are great (no, I love em, they are really great). But unless Legion plans fall through a hole in the street, and staff is assigned back to Dust full-force, we are VERY unlikely to see new TYPES of vehicles. It would be easier to get CCP to simply bring back the earlier vehicles, but in newly divided groups or tiers, to give preogression. First Tier: A no-skill needed, limited passenger vehicle at cheap ISK. Pre-fitted, unchangeable turrets. A blaster-only LAV and DS, and a Railgun-only HAV for instance. Second Tier: A skilled-into, limited passenger vehicle, but with upgradable turrets. Third tier: A version with more passenger capacity, or more Shield/Armour than Tier 2, and bonus performance. DS with faster turret-rotation and higher ehp. A Lav with faster drivetrain. An HAV with the small turrets in addition to its main turret.
Fourth Tier: Your Logi bonus vehicles, with ONE built-in gadget on each vehicle, and the opportunity to branch off into a specialized variant. A LAV with built-in suit repper/healer (and a scout-variant LAV with quieter engine and better climbing). An HAV with built-in complex scanner (and a command-variant HAV with remote repping). A Dropship with built-in nanohive (and the ADS as the assault-variant of this vehicle).
The possibilities are broad for CCP to choose from. I just want them to re-tool the vehicles we mostly already had in the game previously, so their job doesnGÇÖt become too big---and separate them into ISK and SP tiers to keep players busy exploring the variants for months.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
