Flux grenades obviously
I am thinking having a scanner LAV and a heavy with a grenade launcher
I do know the spots that people usually put them,
Use the scanner jeep to find them then find a good approach to shoot them with grenade launcher. |

Outside of objectives, REs are usually thrown in the middle of attack.
So long as you flux an objecitve, and keep an ear out for the sound of deployed EQ, you should be alright.
Eyeballs also help as they do tend to stand out.
But take note, there are RE glitches in which they can be hidden under terrain, and supposedly even a spot on a map where they kill everyone ( ).

The most important advice is to be more than 5m away when you engage a remote explosive.
If you have a good eye for detail and you know were to look you can often spot them without the scans.
When following a Scout or someone you think might drop a remote go wide around corners. Pretend the corner is the center point of a circle with 5m radius and try to stay on the outside of that circle until you have line of sight around the corner and can see if there is a remote.
At terminals it is often more efficient to just toss a Flux Grenade on the terminal than to spend time looking for remotes.
Crafty people like me place remotes on top of Uplinks, so shoot Uplinks from a distance as well.
There were only a handful of people using Remote Explosives as a combat weapon before I wrote my guide, so yes, you can blame me for all of this. 
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

i've been running a scanner lav with mass driver for about 1.5 years.. it's really good for solo and especially if you skill into minmatar commando because at level 5 it gives a 10% bonus to damage of both the combat rifle and mass driver (nade launcher) combo is sick.. you will also want to skill into/fit 2 complex damage mods and armor plates or dual reps.. because you will get bored of just destroying RE and there are plenty of stragglers you can also hunt for in between.
level 5 of minmatar basic suits will also allow you to run 5 complex damage mods if you dont feel like sinking the SP into commando.. this is a glass cannon fit but with a LAV the idea is too jump your lone target and drive off before he can react or ideally he is dead.
but to just kill RE's you can do that with any suit and a MLT Mass driver.. you want a good lav tho.. a methana backed by armor fitting skill, you will want at least 100 repair and about 3000 armor.. i highly recommend armor and shield repair level 5 if your going to plan on using a LAV much. a crappy LAV is not worth calling except as an evac or a jihad. those said skills will alow you to survive many times with only a sliver of health that is only there because you skilled into repair. in 30at seconds your fully repaired and back in the fight.
also you will eventually want a complex scanner which gets you back to scanning that much quicker
i would start by skilling the LAV first, this is like your main defense, (you dont need much in infantry just to hunt RE) and then skill into the commando or medium suit, MD and damage mods after. you won't regret having s suped up lav
